EOTD: essence 3D Irresistible Green Dream...

Such a pretty shade this one - essence 3D Irresistible Green Dream. The shadows in this range are fabulously pigmented and incredibly buttery, and at under $5, one of the best bargains around town. I love how it intensifies my eye colour, and the shimmer factor is glam without being OTT...

I bought the three below last year (and a couple more), but I'm not sure if these particular colour combinations are still available...

As you can see in the photo above, the deeper one of the two is a fair bit brighter than in the eye pics, but that's because I pulled it back a notch or two by using a base of Face of Australia Budge Proof Eye Shadow in Poison Ivy - a rich foresty green cream that helps the shadow stay in place, and extends the wear of any pigment to a good 12 hours...

The lighter green of the two went on the inner third and along the top lashline in an effort to make my sparse lashes stand out a bit more. My last step was to smoke the outer corner and line the waterline with ModelsPrefer Kohl Pencil in Matte Black - loving this crayon, it glides on like silk, doesn't tug the skin one bit, and is such an intense black, I barely use any...

Lips are SAX Rich Colour Lipstick in Coral & Mirenesse 3D Forever Gloss in Lust Me, and cheeks are essence Heat Wave...

What's your favourite essence product?

Take care of you,
kats xxx

  3. Essence is another brand I've overlooked because of their price - so cheap I made the assumption that it was poor quality. I was wrong.
Like I always say: when you make an ASSUMPTION, you make an ASS of U & UMPTION!
I love the colour & definitely love the shimmer.

    1. Easily done hon, in fact I did the same - it was only because of some of the bh gals that I bothered investigating the range, and I haven't looked back. Sure I've had come across few duds along the way, but in general I think essence is fab, their glosses are amazing, and some of their shadows are the best in my kit ♥

  5. That green is divine. I had never heard of Essence until I saw you using them kats. Noticed our chemist had them and it was there that I bought one of the greens. I love seeing your whole make-up look when it's all done because you certainly know how to weave magic with both make-up and accessories. A great joy to look at. :-)

    1. Indie this coral pink suit you down to the ground - I fell in love with this SAX lipstick a while back, and then the only chemist that stocked the range near me discontinued it. I went through a huge bin of products and found the very last coral lippy, thank goodness ♥

  7. I love the 3D shadows too Kats. They are so difficult to resist considering their beauty and price. Such an amazing bargain!!! I own the pink and purple ones :D but have always had my eye on the green. I love how its like a mossy green and not neon. It looks awesome as an EOTD on you hun and goes so well with your natural eye colour.
