EOTD: Sleek Acid White and Lime...

Gosh - this is turning out to be a Sleek Acid month of EOTD's! Who'd have thought I'd be using the same palette over and over again, I mean, every day? Unheard of for me, but that's how it's shaping up. The thing is the pigments are so fabulous, they lend themselves to just about any combo, and this little effort goes to show it doesn't have to be bright...

Over my essence white kajal base, I laid down a generous layer of the white from the palette - it gives an awesomely solid finish. Other whites I've tried end up being sheer or overly sparkly, but this matte shadow is marvelously dense, and yet it doesn't turn all cakey or chalky, even when you pack it on...

Over this I added the olive from the bottom row, starting with a generous layer from the outer edge, and blended it across to the inner corner so that it merged seamlessly into the white. I also used this in the crease for some definition, and it softened the MNY Master Precise Liquid Liner along the lower lashline...

Used warm colours on the rest of my face - lips are Maybelline Caramel Kiss with essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in Pary Connection. Cheeks are ModelCo Amaretto Sunset...

And to finish off, I added green Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Liner along the waterline - this is starting to dry out a little, but hey, it's about three years old...

There'll be three more EOTD's using this palette before the end of the month - I might even keep going into January because there's just so many combinations I want to try. Lol pretty safe to say this is my ULTIMATE palette

Do you have a palette that you use almost every day? Would love to know what it is...

Take care of you,
kats xxx

  1. Oh my....the colours are amazing.
You know just this morning I was cleaning in the bathroom and knocked over a bottle of perfume which then hit my favorite Innoxa duo of a beautiful green and orange powder eyeshadow. It crashed to the floor, the lid snapped open and the two powder eye shadows became a powdered mess all over the bathroom floor :(

    1. Oh no! Bet your shadow wasn't the only thing that was shattered - aww hon, isn't it just the PITS when this happens? Lost my fave orange Sugarpill matte on the carpet of all places a few months back - only just replaced it last week. Hope you didn't lose the perfume as well ♥

  2. I would never have done this! The lime shade is something I reserve for inner third, it works though. I love the sweep of white to lime. The white doesn't turn cakey even when you pack it on? That's the info we need to know. This is great!
You can't fault those Physicians Formula cream liners, I love them too.

  4. I have a white but it's a shimmery one and just leaves glittery sparkles everywhere. This white sounds and looks ideal. As to the limey green........beautiful. Blends with the white perfectly. Loving the green on the waterline.......I've tried to do liner on there but finding it hard to do.

I don't have many palettes but only recently I got two of the Elizabeth Arden palettes and just being playing around with them. I used to wear eye shadows every day and then you give up work and stop doing it but lately, I am trying to use them again.

    1. So happy to hear you're having a play again Mandy, and I had no idea that a matte white could be so useful and flattering, more soon :-) Waterlining is tricky at the best of times - there seems to be quite a big gap in the market for products that work well in this moist area, so don't give yourself a hard time, there's very few liners that I'm satisfied with, which is why I keep using the same ones over and over... ♥

  5. Kat, this look is lime perfection, so pretty, hun. I'm using a 6 pan MAC palette that I use everyday for the highlighter and crease colour. Truth be told, I am just trying to use it up, I've had it for years. What a real beauty this Acid palette is xx

    1. Indie thanks babe - ooh a MAC palette? I'm envious hon, it must be a beauty if you've had it so long :-) And yes, Acid is the go - I'll be uploading three more looks using this palette before the end of the week, it's just so incredibly versatile ♥
