REVIEW & Giveaway: Myer Little Box of Beauty...

Sadly I missed the advent calendar bus this year - the two that I had my eye on sold out lightning-fast, but thanks to my beautyheaven friend Okatko (treasure!), I was reminded to get in quick for the always tempting and never disappointing Myer Little Box of Beauty. This will be my third one - all have been beaut value and a beauty bargain hunter's delight. At $80 for $220 worth of products (five of which are fragrances) & free delivery, I'm actually amazed that it's still available (HERE) but get in quick. Alternatively, you can stick around and read my blog post because I'm giving one away - it is, after all, Christmas! ...

Even the box is gorgeous - very sturdy and compact with eight drawer-like boxes, you could even use it to store jewellery or trinkets after sampling all the goodies ...

So here's what's in the first box:
  • Clinique Moisture Surge - 15ml
  • OPI Nail Lacquer - 3.75ml, shade Princesses Rule!
  • Lancome Hypnose Mascara - 2ml, Noir Hypnotic

Next up we have:
  • Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask - 13g
  • Sohum Tahitian Gardenia EDT Roller Ball - 8m

And there's an eau de parfum that I simply love:

Carolina Herrera Good Girl EDP - 7ml

And in another box are three fragrance miniatures - heaven!...
  • Chi Chi Warm Vanilla Sugar EDP Spray - 15ml
  • Miu Miu Twist EDP - 5ml
  • Coach Floral Blush EDP - 4.5ml

Incidentally, the contents of all the boxes are identical, except for the Miu Miu fragrance - it varies between the EDP or the EDT...

And what's a beauty box without some delicious MOR products:
  • MOR Marshmallow Hand & Body Wash - 20ml
  • MOR Marshmallow Hand & Nail Cream - 10ml

Not to mention a little dose of Philosophy:
  • Renewed Hope in a Jar Refreshing & Refining Moisturizer - 7ml
  • Purity 3-in-1 cleanser for face & eyes - 30ml

Next up are two little gems:
  • Inika Certified Organic Pure Perfection Primer - 4ml
  • Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Tangle Tamer

And last but definitely by no means least...
  • Myerbeauty Rose Quartz Face Roller
  • Wavertree & London Macaron Triple Milled Soap - 200g

All ingredients are listed on the back of the plastic sleeve, which keeps the covers tightly closed, but slides off in a jiffy...

I'm thrilled to have a variety of products to try, and I'm blissing out that there are five perfumes - most items are sample sizes, but that makes them perfect stocking fillers, travel companions or guilt-free treats for moi lol...

    1. wow....this box really is impressive. What an exciting giveaway.

Im having an exciting weekend. My youngest flew into the local airport yesterday morning. This is awesome as its the first time that she has been able to fly direct which saves me a 3 hour drive. Shes here for Christmas. Tomorrow we are joining her eldest sister via zoom so we can take part in her Wedding dress Shopping (shes in Melbourne).....super exciting.

    2. Another great blog post Kats and what a generous giveaway, some of the beauty advent calendars are extravagant.

Sometimes seeing stories of people helping other people or animals inspires me , but mostly I get feelings or urges to do random acts of kindness and act on them. I don't know how these urges happen, but when they do I feel the need to act on them and I do. It may only happen once or twice a year and that moment of inspiration cannot be ignored so off I go and I feel so good afterwards.

      1. Bless you Tracy - I'm forever watching those youtube videos of people doing wonderful things for (often complete) strangers, or taking lost, injured or neglected creatures into their homes. They touch my heart every time - if only more people were like you sweetheart ♥

    3. Oh wow, this little box looks fabulous. So many goodies to try, and yes lots of gorgeous perfumes. My son inspires me. He is 22 and was diagnosed with epilepsy this year, but he has coped so well, is now on medication and leading a full life which involves a great job at a financial planners, a part time role as a footy umpire and is now playing cricket this summer.

    8. This looks like a lovely box, the packaging (the little drawers) look awesome too - I use my Look Fantastic advent calender from a couple of years ago I think as my jewellery box that was a slightly similar design, and the one the year after as a nail varnish collection holder. Sorry you missed out on the advent calenders - I did too for the one I really wanted (Cult Beauty), the ones I managed to snag this year aren't as good as previous years sadly, I'm happy to report to you so you dont feel you missed out too badly haha

      1. Sounds like you're doing a beaut job on the recycling front Adele! I grabbed the Look Fantastic one last year and it was truly that - fantastic! But I was way to slow this time around - thanks for easing my anguish (♥). I'm delighted I was able to at least get my hands on this one ♥

    9. What a BIG little box of beauty!

Friends (that I swear must be saints walking on the earth!) that tirelessly and thanklessly go about their normal daily life but are always thinking of others - helping family and friends and strangers - continuously amaze and inspire me. I truly don't know where they find the time or the energy.

    10. Sounds like a great value box – even for me, who would have to donate the fragrances (as a scentsitive soul, I couldn’t even gift them to friends and family, as I wouldn’t be able to be near them if they wore them).

      1. That's such a shame about the perfume MGR - still there's lots of other goodies and hopefully something you'll enjoy if the Rafflecopter picks your entry ♥

    11. Not sure whether it is an ipad thing, or a browser thing, but I can’t see the question in the rafflecopter. I recall fluking it once, but it just won’t show up for me for some reason. But I do still love reading your reviews and try to remember to comment so you know we are out here reading them – thanks for all the effort you put in kats.

    12. Wow this is a very nice sampler set. We are done with our Christmas shopping mid-year, taking advantage of all those end of financial year sales. But at times I do make a few ad-hoc treatyoself online shopping sessions :)

    14. Thrilled you bagged the Myer Little Box of Beauty and Thrilled to read that TUD was the lucky recipient. I wasn't too tempted (luckily) but I have seen another beauty box/bag of delights that is only available once a year. Sadly, I missed out as I have only just discovered it, but beautylish puts out a mystery bag once a year.
