SPOTLIGHT: Favourite June 2019 LOTD's...

Squeezing in the June LOTD's with some classic Winter colours - yum! Maybelline is dominating thanks to the Made For All pack I was so kindly sent, but there are a few pre-loved faves and a couple of newbies that I really didn't need, but couldn't resist lol ♥...

So let's get on with the details...

1. Bourjois Rouge Edition - Brun Boheme. SO love this colour - it's particularly stunning paired with  an olive themed outfit, and the comfort factor is 10/10 ♥,,,

2. Nude by Nature Moisture Shine - Garnet. So different from the other "garnet" lippies in my kit (which are way redder) but another supremely softening and lip-loving formula ♥...

3. Colour by TBN - Raison Rage. One of my latest bargains, this was in a bowl in Price Attack for under $5. I've not seen this brand anywhere else, but I'm quite impressed. Very moist, wears well for the price, and the shade is a rare breed in my collection ♥...

4. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Red For Me. Gorgeous orangey red, this is the only matte in the range (well for now at least). Very comfortable and long-wearing. You'll find my dedicated post HERE ♥...

5. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Ruby For Me. Oh goody - side by side with the Red For Me it's easier to see the colour difference between these two than it was in my article. This beauty def has more pink content - so moist, so delish! ♥...

6. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Mauve For Me. Surprisingly this is the one I've worn the most so far - amazingly flattering to my skin tone and goes with just about anything. A raging success story Maybelline! ♥...

7. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Pink For Me. I call this kind of shade antique pink - love that it's muted but still packs enough punch for those of us who need some colour to look healthy lol ♥...

8. Colour by TBN - Vampira. Bargain #2 from Price Attack. They only had one other shade in the bowl - a nude that was too pale for me, but I'm hoping to find another outlet for these where I can check out the whole range ♥...

9. Shanghai Suzy - Miss Georgina Pink Plum. A much-loved berry (you can tell by the label wearing off). I simply MUST try more of these (vegan & cruelty-free). There's a special at the mo' - 3 for $50 with free express shipping HERE, although this particular shade seems to have been discontinued ♥...

10. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Fuchsia For Me. Wowser bold pink that's sure to lift your spirits - a total knockout if you're wearing a black, grey or navy outfit ♥...

11. Maybelline ColourSensational Made For All - Plum For Me. The other one from this stunning range that's particularly dear to my heart. This is so ME! ♥...

12. Sash Cosmetics Luminous Lipstick - Insomnia. I feel a bit bad posting anything from this brand as it folded last Christmas, and there's nothing worse than falling head over heels for a lipstick colour only to find it's no longer available, so forgive me. I keep hoping they'll be reincarnated ♥...

SPOTLIGHT: Favourite April LOTD's...

Unless I'm ill or on hols, I swatch at least 20 lip products every month, and it's SO hard to choose faves in each colour family when there are so many on the list, so I've decided to post a collage of LOTD's every month instead of quarterly - these are from the April assortment. Hope you enjoy seeing some of these shades and brands, and perhaps even be inspired to try something new ♥...

Of course, some of these may not be your cup of tea, but I wear just about every colour imaginable, so hopefully, there's something to suit all tastes, and so it's on with the deets...

1. I'm always hesitant to include lippies that are discontinued, but I just couldn't leave out this stunner from Milani - Chilled Brandy. It's beyond me why they canned this shade...
2. Love Burt's Bees lipsticks - they include so much goodness and the intensity of this Russet River is fabulous...
3. And what's an Autumn without Unicorn's Blood from Jeffree Star Cosmetics - one of the few matte liquids out there that I can wear all day with minimal lip withering...

4. Raved about the Covergirl Katy Kat Matte range HERE - this is Crimson Cat, an exceptionally comfortable stunner...

5. Another Covergirl winner is this one from their Colorlicious range, Succulent Cherry - love that its light and bright and full of cheer, and the shea butter content keeps my lips soft and supple from morning till night...

6. Ahh, Bourjois - their Rouge Edition Lipsticks sont magnifiques, this is Brun Boheme, another Autumn essential...

7. I'm really quite impressed with these MUD Full Colour Lip Lacquers - for the price (around $6) they're hard to beat, this is Vintage Pink...

8. An oldie but a goodie - Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate #48. One of the Nude collection, quite a deep mauve in the tube, but for some reason, it turns out mushroom on me lol, love it...

9. My only Shanghai Suzy lipstick (must do something about that) - Miss Georgina Pink Plum, plumtastic!...

10. Another of my Bourjois loves, Rouge Edition Velvet in Plum Plum Girl  - this is literally velvet in a tube, adore!...

11. So glad I revisited these Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lippies - I have quite a few, crazy about the formula. This is Electric Pink, it's actually even brighter IRL...

12. And lucky last is one of my most recent acquisitions - Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in Creator - I wasn't going to buy any of these, but I caved for this wowser purple. So glad I did - if you're after a long-wearing formula, this is the go...

EOTD: L.A.Colors Raspberry and MUA Midnight...

Needed some major warming up on Friday, so I trotted out my L.A.Colors Wildflowers palette - it has the most stunning raspberry shade, which I've hit pan on, but I had a spare in the wings for the photo ♥

Base was Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk - I only ever seem to use this in Autumn/Winter, but then again, it's probably the perfect time to use this rich maroon cream. Years old, but it still has some life left in it yet. Over this went the L.A.Colors raspberry, blended into MUA Matte Midnight, which I took underneath and in the crease as well...

On the waterline I used Chi Chi Waterproof Gel Eyliner in Dream Lover - these gels work very well on the waterline, and last a good few hours before the outer part starts to wash away. This happens with just about every liner I use, and usually within 30 minutes of taking the pics (my eyes water at the drop of a hat)...

And...the whole face. Lips were Shanghai Suzy Miss Georgina Pink Plum topped with essence XXXL Lip Gloss in Wood of Roses. Cheeks were Sleek Pink Parfait from the Pink Sprint Blush By 3 palette. This blush is so incredibly pigmented, I had to buff it back with my kabuki so I didn't look sunburnt lol...

COME PLAY WITH ME: Flower Inspiration...

 Darling Indie has chosen "Flower Inspiration" for the next theme in this fabulous and fun series, and I've chosen Fuchsia - hardly a surprise as they're such pretty, dainty little flowers, plus the combination of bold pink and purple are standout hues in my wardrobe and makeup kit. Mind you it was tough choosing which one of nature's treasures I would try and recreate, so much so that I'm inspired to have a go at a few more in the coming weeks...

I used essence white kajal as a base, added the brightest pink from the bhcosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette, and then deepened it with the raspberry from the L.A. Colors Wildflowers palette. The purple is courtesy of  the W7 Shades of Mauve palette..

I patted the deepest matte purple from the Take Me To Brazil palette into the crease, and lined the waterline with essence white kajal...

And here's my fuchsia'd face - lips are Shanghai Suzy Miss Georgina Pink Plum (massive thanks to Tried and Tested Blog for sending this to me ♥ - I'm in love!) topped with Chi Chi Valley Doll Lip Lacquer... 

Cheeks are Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Flushed, and the brightest pink from the BYS On the Brightside blush trio...
