EOTD Catch Up & Nutrimetics Giveaway!...

Been way to long since I posted some EOTD's ♥ I still create them every working day of the week, but upload-worthy photos are becoming rarer by the minute, either because I don't leave myself sufficient time to take enough pics to end up with a decent one, or I simply wake up too wrinkly - and then if I crop out all the craggy saggy bits, there's only the pupils left ha ha! I'm exaggerating of course, but it's a fact that the signs of ageing accelerate exponentially with each passing year after 60, and that's that. So before I get any older, here is a selection from the past few months, and if you make it to the bottom of the page, there's a gorgeous giveaway for one of you lovelies ♥...

No. 1 - Rusty red from the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette over the top of Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil, which is also on the waterline...

No. 2 - Charcoal and sparkly silver from the Morphe Brushes 12z palette, Natio Steel Grey Define Eye Pencil on the waterline...

No. 3 - Colourpop Melrose + MBA Cosmetics Spiced Pumpkin, Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry Goddess Pencil on the waterline...

No. 4 - Black, green and lime from the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette, Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry Goddess Pencil on the waterline...

No. 5 - Colourpop Dare + Essence Raspberry Frosting, Natio Steel Grey Define Eye Pencil on the waterline...

No. 6 - Blend of red and orange from the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette, Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry Goddess Pencil on the waterline...

No. 7 - Forest green + teal from the Chi Chi Oasis palette, blend of Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry & Emerald Tabula Goddess Pencils on the waterline...

No. 8 - Ribbon & Organza from the Sleek Oh So Special palette, Eye of Horus Charcoal Obsidian Goddess Pencil on the waterline...

Quite a variety of colours though nothing all that vivid, but hey it's Winter, and the vibrant and inspiring hues of Spring aren't far away...

GIVEAWAY!!!
I have way too many eyeshadow palettes, so I've decided to give away my most recent acquisition - the Nutrimetics Professional Smokey Eye Shadow Palette, which was a freebie. While I adore the colours, I'll simply never make enough use of it, and then I'll feel bad for neglecting it. Valued at $69, it's a mix of mattes and shimmers in a white metal tin case, includes a double-ended applicator brush, and has been safely stored away in its box in a dark drawer...

    EOTD Catch Up!...

Was going through some of my old posts and realised I haven't done an EOTD upload since May last year! The simple fact is that time is my enemy, both from an ageing perspective, as well as how long it takes to make it all happen. I'm still way passionate about eye makeup (I can't imagine that EVER changing!), and invariably create a look up to 6 days a week, but the camera is becoming more unkind by the day, and adjusting my technique for closeups (like drawing on the crease or combing my fringe WAY down lol) to disguise the sagging, bagging and wrinkling sometimes just doesn't do the trick. I'm still putting some up on Instagram fairly regularly, but considering it was an EOTD that got me started on blogging, I figured some pics were well overdue here. I've also had a major change of hair colour (work in progress) and I'm tending towards cooler eyeshadow hues, so here's a few of the looks from the last few months, plus the full face makeup, clothing and accessories so you can see the whole effect ♥...

Morphe Brushes 35B palette, Eye of Horus Jewel Amethyst Goddess Pencil on the waterline

L'Oreal Infallible Lipstick - Eternal Rose

The Balm Matt Johnson & Matt Malloy, Natio Steel Grey Define Eye Pencil on the waterline

Cosmoholic Liquid Lipstick - Prudish Pink

BYS Peach Palette - Lavish & Peachy, Revlon Jade Colorstay Eyeliner on the waterline

Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer - Sunstone

Chi Chi Cosmetics Oasis palette, Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil on the waterline

Mirabelle Beauty Modern Matte Lipstick - Crimson

Morphe Brushes 35B palette, Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil on the waterline

NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream - Fuchsia Fusion

Makeup Revolution Envy, Colourpop Coconut, Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil on the waterline

Dirty Little Secret Lipstick - Sugar Daddy

MBA Cosmetics Navy & Babybaby, Natio Steel Grey Define Eye Pencil on the waterline

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick - Vintage Pink

Chi Chi Oasis palette - olive & lime, blend of Models Prefer Lime Tart Infinite Colour Eye Pencil & Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry Goddess Pencil on the waterline
JeffreeStar Velour Liquid Lipstick - Unicorn Blood

Colourpop Tink, bhcosmetics Wilde & Free palette - ice blue, Natio Steel Grey Define Eye Pencil on the waterline

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick - Fatal Red

Hope you enjoyed these looks - in all pics, I've lined my lower lashline with Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner, and mascara used was Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof, and L'Oreal False Lash Superstar XFiber. As always, I ignore the majority of recommendations for mature age makeup colours and techniques, and just do what I want!

Do any of these EOTDs appeal to you?

    Take care of you,

    EOTD's & Giveaway!...

My how things change in the space of a few months! Sure we've had some magnificent days of Autumn sunshine, but the overnight temps in the last few weeks have been chilly-as, so it's time to delve into the "cold weather" palette drawer, and swap over the wardrobe contents. I took very few eye pics in March, so I've launched straight into the April ones - instead of sandals in the outfit photos, I'm already into boots! But I don't mind - I live in boots as soon as the season changes, and wear them for up to 5 months of the year ♥ I've been a bit slack with my giveaways too, so I hope you'll join in the fun at the bottom of the page lol...

For this first one, I used two of my favourite shadows - Sleek Ink from the Ultra Matts V2 palette, and Colourpop Super Shock Slave2Pink. The latter is the most gorgeous duochrome magenta with a blue colourshift, and it's the perfect match for the NYX Cosmic Metals Lip Cream in Fuchsia Fusion, and NYX Ombre Blush in Code Breaker ♥♥ I'm also wearing the new Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation - LOVE it ♥ This was also the first "outing" of my new necklace - yet another Lovisa bargain, it looks like sapphires and diamonds, but I picked it up on special for $2.50!...

For this next look, I turned to my Rimmel Magnif'eyes Keep Calm & Wear Gold palette (gifted), and lined my waterline with Eye of Horus Emerald Tabula Goddess Pencil...

The necklace and earrings I've had for more than 10 years - found them at a thrift store, which is often where I find unusual pieces. My foundation was Mirenesse Velvet Maxi Lift Supreme, for cheeks and contouring I used Essence Shape Your Face Contouring palette in Ready Set Peach, and lips were David Jones Moisture Cream Lipstick in Honey Gold...

This emerald green shadow is ah-mazing! Super pigmented, and would you believe it's from a Kmart OXX palette (Utopia) that set me back the massive sum of $2! There are six of these palettes available, all slightly different, but all pretty and bright colours. Not all the pans are as pigmented, but the ones I've tried so far have been quite magical for the price ♥...

For my face I used L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover foundation, Elf blush palette (the dark one), and injected some colour into the monochrome outfit with NYX Intense Butter Gloss in the shade Cherry Custard ♥...

And for this last look, I turned to the always reliable Too Faced Chocolate Bar for Milk Chocolate and Creme Brulee, with Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Over Board on the waterline...

MNY Dream Cushion Foundation again, Hourglass Luminous Bronze Light on my cheeks, and Innoxa Summer Matte Liptstick in Chocolate on my pout. The necklace was a gift many years ago from a dear friend - I adore it, and don't wear it anywhere near often enough...

And now for the giveaway! How about some Lovisa bling to add some sparkle to your outfits, and somewhere to store it?

    Up for grabs is:
    • Lovisa Diamond Simulants Heart Necklace and matching Earrings set
    • Lovisa Diamond Simulants bling ring (size M-L)
    • Simply Bathroom Acrylic Four Drawer Jewellery Organiser (from Aldi)
    • Simply Bathroom Acrylic Necklace Holder (from Aldi)
Here's a closeup of the jewellery - there's a mark on the black paper backing of the earrings (top right) where I (foolishly) peeled off a fleuro "sale" sticker, but that's the only damage to the box...

Total prize value is approx $100, all items are brand new, and were purchased by me. Because it's quite bulky, I'll have to restrict the entries to Australian Residents Only...

The usual rules apply - one entry per person, follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter section, and leave a comment below that answers the question inside the copter...

    EOTD's & Giveaway!...

Was absolutely staggered when I looked back and found that the last EOTD I posted was in August last year! Had lots of issues that needed my full attention round about that time, but they're pretty much all sorted now (the move closer to Sydney was a biggie), so it's time to resume where I left off with uploading some eye looks ♥ I've been posting some fairly regularly on Instagram, but it's not an every day occurrence like it was before - I'm still catching up with years of lost sleep, and haven't been allowing sufficient time in the mornings to do my eye makeup perfectly enough for closeups, plus the fact that age is taking its toll, and there are some days when my eyes are just too wrinkly (boo!). Anyways, I'll still be uploading the better ones from time to time, starting with the selection below. And to celebrate, there's a fun giveaway at the bottom of the page ♥...

For this first look I used MBA Cosmetics Deep Sea - love this as it's matte, perfect as a base, and for lining the crease. As I age I'm finding a whole bunch of things are losing definition, so these days I often have to draw the boundary lines. While I'll always have a crease where the lid meets the hood, the inner part of the lid seems to be blurring into the rest of my eye area, so a dark matte shadow and a fine angled brush is the way to go. I topped the matte blue with Colourpop Too Shy - a stunning metallic shadow. On the waterline is Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil, and on my lips is NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Run The World ♥ For a bit of fun I've started including my shoes in the jewellery/outfit photos!...

For look #2, I went back to an old favourite - Sugarpill Midori, also a matte, and one of the prettiest emerald greens in my kit ♥...

For the base, and on the waterline, I used my latest fab discovery - Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in the shade Teaspoon, which was a perfect match. This is a brilliant liner - it's matte, lasts for many hours on the waterline, and doesn't irritate. As you can probably guess, I'll be buying more of these ♥. The lipstick I'm wearing is Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipstick - shade Keep It Coral. Very nice formula, but still a little drying on my lips ♥...

Look #3 was a trip down memory lane to my favourite deep blue eye shadows of all time - L'Oreal Infallible All Night Blue. There's nothing else I've found that compares with the pigment intensity, and the blacky blue base has a brighter blue sheen which catches the light beautifully...

On the waterline again is Eye of Horus Teal Malachite Goddess Pencil - about 3 layers including the shadow fallout, which is why it looks darker than in the first pic. The lipstick is one my darling friend Amy from healthandbeautygirl sent to me recently - it's a crayon made by The Beauty Crop, they call it a PJS Smoothie Stick, and the shade is Guava Nice Day. Super moisturising and super comfortable - absolutely love it, thanks again sweetie! ♥...

And for EOTD #4, I pulled out my Chi Chi Oasis palette, and used the matte black topped with the shimmery silver...

Waterline was Eye of Horus Charcoal Obsidian Goddess Pencil, lips were NYX High Voltage Lipstick in Rags to Riches. I picked this lippie up from Priceline for $5 as it's discontinued - I'm so sad as it's the prettiest shade ♥...

Now for the best part, the loot...

    This giveaway is open Internationally!

I went through all my stocks and found quite a few doubles, some items I purchased on sale, plus some are my faves ♥ and I want to share the love. So instead of leaving them languishing in my drawers, I'm bundling them up for one lucky follower ♥...

There's a wide variety of products in this pack for body, face, eyes & lips. with an RRP of around $200! Here are the details, from leftish to rightish:

EOTDs: Catch up time! (Part 2)...

Crikey, it's the last day of August, which means it's Spring tomorrow - yay!  And I'm just scraping in with the remaining four EOTD's for the month. I was determined to get these up so that there's eight to choose from for the next giveaway, which is closer than you think, and it'll be a SUPER DUPER special one to celebrate my little blog's third anniversary, so pop back in again soon won't you ♥

I haven't done a really colourful eye look for yonks, but I reckon this one might make up for it lol - used essence white kajal as my base on the inner corner, and Eye of Horus Amethyst Jewel Goddess Pencil for the rest, and on the waterline. The pink is the boldest magenta from the bhcosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette, and that gorgeous sparkly purple/blue/pink multichrome is the one and only  Colourpop Dare...

My outfit was a purply pink top with navy pants, a combo I often put together, and I was thrilled to find the multi-bead bracelets in the pic below at Millers to add to my collection - they were a steal at $5, and helped tie everything together...

For this one I used Max Factor Charcoal Grey Kohl Pencil for my base and waterline, and patted down the grey from the Annabelle Haute Mer palette. For fun I added a smear of Eye of Horus Alchemy Gold Liquid Metals in the centre of the top lid, and swiped a wee bit under the lower lashline...

On the dial was Mirenesse Liquid Silk Foundation (yes I've FINALLY used it all up!), cheeks were the purple pink from the bhcosmetics Glamorous Blush palette, lips were MBA Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lip Color in the shade Immortal...

    And the gold/grey accessories...

This one looks a bit weird because you can't really see my top eyelashes very well against the deep green, but I adore the shadow - it's from the Chi Chi Oasis palette, and it went over the top of Models Prefer Infinite Colour Eye Pencil in the shade Lime Tart. Also used this for my waterline blended with Eye of Horus Serpentine Sultry Goddess Pencil...

Foundation was Mirenesse Liquid Silk again, cheeks were Ulta3 Pretty Plum Blush, and on the lips was L'Oreal Color Riche Moisture Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary...

I need to expand my olivey green jewellery collection, but there's been very little available in that shade this Winter, so will have to see what I can rustle up for next season...

And lucky last is Who's There from the Makeup Revolution Give Them Nightmares palette over the top of essence white kajal.  For the waterline, I stroked on Eye of Horus Emerald Tabula Goddess Pencil...

Foundation was the same Mirenesse one, cheeks were the brightest red pan from the bhcosmetics Glamorous Blush palette, and lips were Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss #30, over-slicked with Maybelline ColourSensational Gloss in Signature Scarlet - had to blend these two to make just the right shade to go with the pinky red in the striped top...

And of course, the jewels. I bought the triangle pendant more than 10 years ago at Vinnies, and was excited when I spotted the (almost matching) earrings a few months ago at Lovisa...

And so lovelies, I can't say I'm sorry to say bye bye to the cold weather, although I will miss my boots. Wishing you all a sensational Spring ♥

    Take care of you,
    kats xxx
