Skin Physics Dragon's Blood Skincare...

Well hi lovelies - yeah, I know, long time no post! Everything is fine and good here, well as good as can be in an extended COVID lockdown hey. But I can assure you the only reason I've been off the social media grid is work-related - as boring as that sounds, my job commitments started exploding in May and are showing no signs of returning to normal until closer to Christmas - yikes! While I'm thanking my lucky stars to have a steady income (and to be able to work from home), 12-hour non-stop stressful days are the norm and to be honest, by the time I disconnect from the office network I'm mentally drained and not fit for much at all. Impact? Apart from missing you all terribly (and even more grey hairs), I'm literally up to my neck in empty containers and have a ton of stuff to review. I can't bear to be away from you any longer, so will do my utmost to resume my weekly upload, although it will be a couple more months before I'm back to posting on Instagram. For now, I desperately wanted to share with you my new skincare regime - the Skin Physics Dragon's Blood range, which I'm crazy-in-love with ...

It all started back in May last year when the generous team at Theory Crew sent me the Dragon's Blood Facial Sculpting Gel to trial. I absolutely loved it AND the firming effect it had on my jawline, and have been using it every night since then. I'd also read fab reviews by some of my blogging gal-pals about the Ultra Plumping Night Cream and Retinol Sleep Serum, and filed that info away for future reference. Then, earlier this year, my skincare stars aligned - by that I mean my usual collection of lotions and potions was getting low and I noticed that Priceline (the only place where this range is sold) were having a Skin Physics sale, and I thought "perfect timing, why not?". It was a rare opportunity for me to shift to a whole new set of products (which is something I rarely ever do), and I'm so happy I took the plunge because this stuff is awesome! ...

I'll be reviewing each of them, including the Daily Radiance Moisturiser and Deep Wrinkle Filler over the coming weeks.  Interestingly there's no Eye Cream in the range, but they have an Advance Superlift Eye Contouring Serum which I've been powering through, and will post some notes on that as well. The cleanser in the range is the only product I wasn't crazy about, but I'll let you know why in one of my upcoming Empties posts - remember those? Ha ha yes, that's the next challenge (lol!) but I've already worked out how I can catch up, as well as return to sharing the love with my usual giveaways ...

Gee willikers, I've SO missed keeping in touch with you all!

Until next time, take care of you, and keep safe,
Hugs from kats xxx

P.S. In amongst all this I've had to change my blog subscription system, so hopefully, some of you will receive a post notification email from a system called Follow-It ...

  1. I don't know if my previous comment displayed. I'm having trouble logging in with your new system & the Preview button published my post without previewing it. I'm misfortune8, in case it doesn't show.

    1. Hey there misfortune8 - so happy to read your comment, but bummed that you've been having trouble. I actually had to turn on something called "moderation" which means I have to approve comments before they are published. This was because some pesky folks were posting links to porn sites and it was the only way to stop them. Hope you're keeping well lovely lady!

  2. Hi Kats, so glad to see you're back. That's crazy being that busy doing 12 hour days and it will be continuing for a few months yet. I have tried a few Skin Physics products and have a couple of favourites.

    1. Aww Tracy thanks so much for the warm welcome! Yeah, the work is pretty crazy, I think it's the busiest and most stressful job I've ever had in my career, but I won't let it win lol. Loving this range - it really seems to suit my skin, and provide what it needs. xxx

  3. It seems my original post didn't work after all. I said: it's great to see you back, Kats! I'm glad that you've still got regular work, but it's a pity you're so flat out - 12 hour days, OMG!

How wonderful to discover a whole range that you love!

  8. How lovely to see you back Kats! Wow! I've only been flat out (and now working from home) since the end of June lockdown (NSW) as it's created so much extra work in the finance area. I have used a Dragon's Blood night cream (and loved it) so must check out the new range when next on special at priceline. And I did get the email post notification from Follow-it. Don't overdo and we will treasure every blog post you get time to do. Hugs xxxx

    1. Darling Karen - what lovely words, and thank you for letting me know that the notification is working. The Night Cream is so good hey, and I promise I won't over do it if you don't. I was hoping to upload one of the Empties catch up posts tonight, but had to spend the time getting stuff ready for work tomorrow - thank goodness I'm also working from home so don't have to do all the outfit planning as well! xx

    1. My dear Tatiana, thank you so much for your kind words - ah yes, IT - it sure can be a pain in the you-know-what ha ha. I'm hoping to return to the office in November, so the outfit posts may well start appearing on Instagram again - I've certainly missed getting all dressed up. Colour is life hey!

  10. Hi Kats, You are most welcome ! I am having short breaks from work for another week. Once I go back (work from home), the workload will increase as it always does before Christmas/New Year. Meanwhile I am playing around with my nail polish and jewellery collections and enjoying myself. Love my Lovisa and Colette pieces. Also agree about Colour is Life - I can never get enough
    of it either !
