EOTD: Lime, Blue and Purple...

As promised, here's a couple of the shadows that I selected for my bhcosmetics 6 colour pro palette - the lime green (CS14) and the purple (CM08). Although I chose an amazingly pigmented blue as well when I made up the palette, it's quite a deep navy, and I felt it was too dark for this particular look. So instead, the blue I used here is another of the ones that were gifted to me by darling Gemma Sapphire - Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots in Sapphire Rage. Like the Untamed Green in this range, it's a stunning shade...

For brightly coloured shadows, most times I lay down a base of essence white kajal, but I thought I'd experiment with the NYX Wonder Pencil in Light - I stroked it across my entire top lid, and then patted it down with my finger to make sure it was even. It worked a treat to give the powders something to adhere to and kept them going all day long, and although it doesn't give the colours as much punch as the white, I quite like this softer, slightly more subtle look...

I then added the shadows one by one, and blended the "joins" with a soft clean fluffy brush. I also took the purple shadow underneath my lower lashes. I don't often mention it, but for just about every eye look I create, I tightline the top lashline with bhcosmetics Liquid Eyeliner (yet another bargain at USD3.50), and line my lower lashes with MNY Master Precise Liquid Liner - I simply can't live without either of these products!

For the waterline, I used Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Liner...

Take care of you,
kats xxx

  1. Yep! Loving this!
Lime on the inner lid is something I OFTEN do - usually with a blue/green mix or purple. This is very similar to how I wear multi-colours, but I take them higher. That purple is lovely. So many purple eyeshadows are closer to violet than purple. Give me a deep, dark purple over violet any day!
I've got the Physicians Formula cream liners in the blue-eye set - wonderful product!
    LOVE this! ;)

    1. I do indeed Gemma sweetie - such bold brilliant colours, and the formula is super creamy too. I'll get around to commenting on your blog hopefully this week my darling - my internet connection is hopelessly unstable at the mo', have already lost the connection 3 times tonight, and I spent hours on the phone 2 nights last week with my ISP. There's an engineer coming out on Wednesday, hope he can figure out what the problem is, it's really pi$$ing me off that every time I start to catch up with my gorgeous gal pals, I get a big fat red X on my connection!

  3. OMG, Kat, this combo is PERFECT for your eyes. It's funny how this pigmented look of colour, totally enhances your eyes, rather than takes from them. I just keep scrolling up for another look, lol. Well done! xx

    1. My darling Indie, thank you sweetness - yeah I haven't quite figured out which one of these colours gives my iris a bit of an oomph, maybe the purple, maybe the lime. Anyways you know how much I love multi-hued looks - got a bit of an antenna going on with my top lashes though ha ha ♥
