EOTD: MUA Pretty Edgy Antique Lace...

Another look using the MUA LUXE Pretty Edgy box of pinky hues - did I mention that I adore this palette? Hmm, I seem to remember that I have ha ha! I've never been so in love with a relatively neutral selection of shades, but hey, there's a first time for everything right?

There's just something amazingly uplifting about these colours and textures, super flattering for a gal my age, and so creamy and easy to work with...

Usually when I drag out the camera, I have to take around 35 shots to get three or four decent ones, but most of the ones I took on this day turned out ok - let's see, from memory I think had six hours of sleep instead of five...sigh...

I kept it pretty simple and used the first and last shadows in the top row - Antique (creamy white) along the top lashline, & Lace (deep rosy pink) on the rest of the lid and underneath. I smoked the outer corner with a smidgin of purply Wrath ...

Try as I might, I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about these colours that's flattering, but they do seem to give my eyes a touch of the "dreamys" - a quality that I certainly don't have naturally...

Base was essence white kajal, and on the waterline is essence I Have a Green. I'm jumping for joy because the RapidLash is really starting to kick in, giving me some long awaited (and much needed) length to my sparse little spikes - will do my best to review this miraculous stuff next week...

What's your favourite palette that ALWAYS works for you?

Take care of you,
kats xxx

    1. Delighted you like it so much Fawn - golly haven't those weeks flown by! And much relieved that you can still actually post, although I know how frustrating when it is when it only works one time out of ten :-(

  2. It's wonderful seeing all the variation of eye looks that you create, even neutral ones! LOL. I'm sure you can rock every colour, and even the rainbow! The more I see this palette, the more I want it in my collection xx

    1. Aww thanks Indie - this is very similar to the last look I created with this palette, but interestingly that doesn't bother me at all, I just love the shades and how softening they are on my eyes. Will be trying something a bit different next time though ♥

  3. This is such an elegant look. I do something very similar with taupe MNY color tattoo. I'd wear a bold fuchsia or burgundy lippie with this look, but a nude/pink would work too. You didn't show us the lip you wore this day.

    1. Yep the tones are similar to the taupe neurotic - no lip pic as I got sprung in the ladies loo (someone came in) and didn't have another opportunity. I actually wore a pinky red with this eye look - Lacura minerals lipstick in shade 980 and essence XXXL lipgloss in True Love ♥

    2. Haha! Well I suppose you take the pics where the lighting is best!

    3. At my age hon, there isn't really a choice lol. Ladies loos are notoriously good for photoshoots - except mine at home, it's a shocker, way too much light, and all coming from the wrong directions. I'm sure the other gals at my office think I'm a weirdo, though no-one's ever said anything...

  4. I was close to buying the Pretty Edgy palette when MUA had their 1 pound delivery promo a few weeks ago, but didn't buy it. If you like pinky hues, you will like MUA's new Elysium palettle - it's definitely on my wishlist!

    1. Hey stackcats mua are always having specials so there'll be other chances to pick it up for a bargain price. Funnily enough I'm not at all drawn to the Elysium palette - let me know if you get it though, I'd love to know what you think of it ♡
