REVIEW: RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum...

Time to reveal my secret lash weapon - if you have sparse, spindly eyelashes, RapidLash will change your life ♥.

My lashes are naturally blonde, and have always been short and stumpy. I first bought this magical product back in January 2011, and saw amazing results within 4 weeks - longer, fuller, darker lashes that I have dreamed about all my adult life. I stopped using it around September 2013 because it was $65 a pop and becoming harder and harder to find in the marketplace, and I thought I'd try another brand (Mirenesse 4D Secret Lash Evolution Serum) as I scored a tube for free. Well that was an absolute waste of time (so glad I didn't pay $129 for it!), and I watched my once fabulously fluttery lashes dwindle back to their original almost non-existent condition over the next 6 months...

And so it was definitely time to restore my lashes to a condition where they'd show up in my EOTD photos again. Priceline is no longer stocking RapidLash, but I found it on Pharmacy Online for $49 in July, and it's still that same price now (just placed an order for two more packs last night actually).

Ok so let's get on with why I will never EVER be without this miraculous product again. Below are some before and after shots to show you the difference this stuff has made to my appearance. The top pic in each set was taken 24th July 2014, and I chose it because it shows the state of both my top and bottom lashes quite clearly. The bottom photo was taken two days ago after using RapidLash for four months...
One tube lasts me around 10 weeks with nightly applications, and I'm getting close to the end of my second tube...

I'm wearing the same mascara (Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof) in both sets of photos, and sure my Shu Uemura eyelash curler has helped a lot, and my mascara application technique needs some refinement, but I think you'll agree that the difference in the length and volume of both my top and bottom lashes is nothing short of astounding!

It's a clear, odourless liquid that you apply the same way as a liquid eyeliner - you paint it on as close to the lashline as possible after cleansing away all your eye makeup. There's no stinging or tingling, just a weird kind of wet sensation before it dries (in about 2 minutes)...

The last time I used RapidLash, I went through two tubes of nightly applications, and then dropped back into a kind of "maintenance mode" of only applying it every second or third night - that way, the tube lasted me 6 months. I'd planned on doing the same again, but I'm sorely tempted to keep going with my third one every day to see just how much fuller and longer my lashes will become...

So now you know my secret - this serum is amazing and I can't recommend it highly enough . And although it's no longer listed on their website, it also won a beautyheaven Glosscars award in 2011.

The best eyelash curler in the world (Shu Uemura!) will curl what you were born with, but RapidLash will give you what you wish you had ♥.

Take care of you,
kats xxx

  2. That's quite a difference! I wonder if it would work on brows as well as I need help there more than my lashes sadly :(

    1. Absolutely mayday - I applied it to my non-existent brows the first time, and they definitely filled out, although I stopped because I wanted to concentrate on my lashes. But it will definitely enhance what you have ♥

    1. Kate you won't be sorry hon - the difference is gradual, and even I was impressed when I saw the comparison pics, although it's obvious every day now that I have a lot more to coat with my mascara, and I can even see my lashes behind my glasses now - woo hoo!

  7. How on earth did this happen because it's incredible!! I always thought that if our lashes grew...and if we never chopped them off then wouldn't they touch the floor?!

Do you think that'll happen with this product? Haha I wouldn't mind a lot more length - visible eyelashes really make your makeup look better and my short - straight ones droop downwards even with mascara and curling. Thanks for letting us in on the secret <3

    1. Lol Jacqueline, I believe it works by extending the natural lash cycle - lashes only grow to a certain length and then fall out. The lashes of us gals with skimpy sets don't get a chance to grow before they detach, and this product allows them to hang around a bit longer. My lashes are now what I would call "normal" - thanks for the giggle though, your comments always make me smile ♥

  8. Well I am impressed with the before and after pictures. My lashes you would need a magnifying glass to find them. As to my lower lashes.......no idea where they are :-/ Loving this serum and will have to have a look around for it down the track. Thanks for the tip kats. :-)

  9. Wow Kats, your lashes look fab! Amazing before & after shots.

I think I'm lucky compared to everyone else here as I already have long lashes, although one of my top lashes has started to turn straight and some of the tips are getting lighter, which is puzzling. Nothing that a coat of mascara can't fix though. :o)

  10. The pictures sure sell the product. One question: the instructions specifically say to apply with eye completely clean of eye cream. Have you been applying eye cream after applying the rapid lash & avoiding getting the eye cream too close to the lash line, or forgoing eye cream at night altogether?

BTW, I did a search using getprice.com.au, they're on my favourites bar. I saw that StrawberryNET are selling it for $37.00. http://au.strawberrynet.com/makeup/rapid-lash/rapidshield-eyelash-daily-conditioner/172509/?trackid=4478&utm_source=getprice&utm_medium=cpc&langBox=au

    1. Hey neurotic - yes I've still been using my eye cream. I don't apply it close to my lashline so it hasn't been an issue. Crikey I shudder to think what would happen if I DIDN'T apply my eye cream lol!

And thanks for the link to strawberrynet - I checked it out but I don't think it's the same product. My tube is 3ml and the one in the link is 4ml, and there's no picture. I found what I believe is the correct one on the same website and it's $58. Here's the link: http://au.strawberrynet.com/makeup/rapid-lash/eyelash---eyebrow-enhancing-serum/151736/#DETAIL

    2. I'm glad I hesitated now! I was set to order, but I didn't - I see what I've done, thanks!

    3. No worries hon - it sounds similar, but I can't find any reference to a "conditioner" on the RapidLash website, only the "serum". Better safe than sorry ♥
