Have had this and the Wild & Free palette stashed away for months. I went through a pre-Christmas palette purchase frenzy of freshening up my kit - well there were SO many sales on, so I just had to take advantage of them right? Anyways I'm gradually working my way through all my bargain-buys (still more in the drawer - whoops!) and I'm thrilled to bits with this one - the pinks are what grabbed me from the get-go, and my bronzey/coppery metallic collection was minimal, so this fabulous palette is a very welcome addition ♥
I'm a huge fan of bhcosmetics eye shadows, have been for many years thanks to my darling friend (and regular enabler lol) IndieAna - they're a US company, so the shipping can be a bit off-putting, but I usually place a reasonably big order to make it worthwhile, and with all the specials they have, the overall price ends up being ridiculously cheap. The RRP for this palette is US$19.95, currently on sale for US$9.95, but I paid only US$6.95 for each of the three in the set - total bargain hey?
I'm the first to admit I suck at swatching, but the above is a reasonably fair representation of the colours, except for the blue(?) in the middle of the bottom row - it's more like the blacky purple in the palette pic, but my camera always has issues with blues and purples. Still it's a fabulously rich hue. These swatches are single swipe over a bbcream base - how about that purple! The shadows are all highly pigmented, working with them is a breeze, and there's barely any fallout. The powder is very tightly pressed, but still easy to pick up on my brush, and I love that the wells are quite deep - it means that the palette will stay nice and clean looking until the end. They're a baked formula, all shimmers, and some are more into the metallic realm...
As yet I haven't used them wet, but you can count on me to give that a shot, especially as the winter drearies set in - I'll be wanting something extra bold and bright by then, and I've no doubt whatsoever these will deliver as they're already magnificently intense when used dry...
I plan on posting my first EOTD using this palette tomorrow night - can you guess which colours I used?
Take care of you,
kats xxx
I love the centre purple/blue & I'm impressed with the bottom centre blue/purple/black shade. These will surely be the first you dip into?
ReplyDeleteGreat bargain! I love the top dark brown & the bottom pink too. They'd look good together. I really don't like screwing around with foreign postage. What a pity.
Lol neurotic, it was actually the pinks that won my heart, but the purple is next for sure. Have never had a problem with this company - takes a while to arrive (around 12 working days) but always reliable and well packaged xxx
DeleteOh my ...these colours are amazing....i love them all...how wonderful
ReplyDeleteThey're beaut hey Fawn - there are 3 palettes in the series, my review of the second one will be up in a couple of days ♥
DeleteIt's such a pretty palette! I saw earlier the pink/purple look you created, so divine, hun. Makes me want to dust mine off to have a play. BH Cosmetics offers some amazing palettes, don't they! xx
ReplyDeleteHow do I thank you for putting me onto them Indie? One of the greatest enablements of all time ha ha!
DeleteThis palette is totally drool worthy! I don't know why I haven't looked into BH cosmetics sooner because these shadows are absolutely stunning!! (I must've been trying to save my bank account lol)
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame that no one sells their products locally hon - I completely get why OS purchases are not on some gals' lists, the shipping can be somewhat prohibitive ♡♡♡
DeleteWhat a pretty palette! It looks like one that is quite pigmented.
ReplyDeleteSure is TP - the whole trio is amazing for the intensity of the shadows, and they're so creamy too ♡
