EOTD: Sleek Acid Coral and Teal...

Gadzooks! What do you do when you're caught up in the pre-Christmas rush, your internet connection is flakey on a good day, and you've a gazillion reviews of fabulous products to upload? You post yet another EOTD using your favourite palette

And what do you do when you want to create a coral and teal look, and your favourite palette doesn't contain either of those colours? You reach for your Sleek Acid palette, and make it happen with a blending brush...

The beauty of knowing "what makes what" in the colour world is that you can create just about anything if you have some basic hues, and the Sleek Acid palette is a treasure trove of such gems. I started with a base of essence white kajal (Really? No!) and then laid down some gorgeous orange, and blended the pink over the top. I went over it a few times, alternating the colours, and voila - coral!

The far right blue in this palette isn't teal at all, but it does have some green in it. So by adding teal on my waterline (essence Sun Club BBC All Night Blue), and some Orbit from the Sleek V2 in the crease, I fooled the eye (and the camera) into thinking that the blue was in fact teal...

Then I blended and blended, and took the Orbit under the eye as well...

And here's the whole face - cheeks are essence "blush up" in Heat Wave, which when you blend the orange and pink together, you get (as mentioned earlier)...coral. Lips are SAX Coral (#28) with Mirenesse 3D Gloss in Lust Me over the top...

Apologies for the lack of promised reviews, but I'll make up for it once I go on hols at the end of the week - bring on Friday!

Take care of you,

EOTD: Sleek Acid Purple and White...

Yep it's official - this is the most versatile and stunning palette in my kit, and my current #1, top of the charts, "wanna use it every day" favourite! Bold or pastel look, this baby can do it all. At the risk of boring you all to tears, this is probably ALL you'll see this month - that's how much I love it

Base was Purple Face of Australia Budgeproof Gel Eyeliner. Over that I blended the matte white on the inner corner, and the purple over the rest of the lid, and underneath...

In the crease and on the outer corner I added the matte black...

On the waterline is essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in the shade Coolest Chic...

Gorgeous, gorgeous colours, amazingly potent pigments, silky soft blendable shadows - it's total, hook, line and sinker LOVE I tell you! Wait till you see what's next

Take care of you,

EOTM: Christmas Giveaway - "Your Favourite November EOTD"...

Well it's almost Christmas gals, so time for a special giveaway from Santakats, with a variety of goodies that I hope you'll love ♥  Everything is brand new, either purchased by me, or came in my Mirenesse VIP packs, and the total RRP prize value is over $190. You'll find closeups further down the page, but meanwhile here's the group photo....

There's a roomy tapestry type bag and matching coin purse, both fully lined, and the bag has two inside pockets and a shoulder strap. The base matches the red trim with some little brass studs to keep it off the floor, and the design is a mix of chic French girly type images. I actually wanted to keep this for myself because it's so pretty and stylish, but I already have more bags in my cupboard than I know what to do with ...

Next we have a bhcosmetics Duo Professional Blush Palette - all the hues are paired, and the ones on the left are mattes, while the others have a wee bit of shimmer and sparkle. The colours below are pretty close to reality, and it's only been opened once to take this pic...

Then we have three Mirenesse products, all in their original pouches with instructions for use - Crystal Colour Drops Hydrating Mineral Powders palette, Studio Magic Glow Powder, and a Glossy Kiss Lip Cheek Colour in the shade Cheeky Kiss - it's sealed so I have no idea what it looks like, but their website says it's "The lightest hot pink you've ever seen!". The Studio Magic Face Glow Powder is a soft golden "...finishing powder with Glow illuminating technology". According to the blurb, it can be worn over foundation or even just dusted over the top of a primer, and it'll make you look as if you've been lit from inside...

Here's the inside of the  Crystal Colour Drops palette - I already have one of these and it's great for contouring...
And last but not least is a pair of Lovisa ruby red earrings...

Interested? Well here's how to be in with a chance to score the lot - just choose which of the November EOTD's is your favourite from the eight pictured below, let me know in the comments section why you like it the most, and then follow the Rafflecopter entry instructions below ...

The Rafflecopter will decide the winner, so please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions inside (Australian residents only). Please note that leaving a comment, providing your email address inside the Rafflecopter, AND following my blog one way or another from the many choices listed are MANDATORY for entry...

EOTD: Sleek Acid Blue & Magenta...

Another look from the Sleek Acid palette - my brain is just busting with ideas for future EOTD's. I'm kinda wishing I had another pair of eyes, or at least another couple of days in the week to make them all a reality! It's almost torture trying to decide which combo to do next...

This one was particularly interesting because I combined the shimmery blue with the matte magenta (this shade was especially chosen for neurotichellfem ). Actually it looked a little unbalanced at first because of the different finishes, so I gently swiped the blue over the top of the pink to give it a bit of dimension, and that made all the difference...

As usual, the base was essence white kajal - when I first try out a palette, I tend to lay down the shadows over this white crayon so that I can see exactly what the pigmentation is like. Later on, I'll use different coloured bases once I get into experimentation mode...

I added a wee bit of Ink from the Sleek V2 Matte palette into the crease - using mattes here helps stop the shimmery shades from transfering to my hoods, and ties everything together...

For the waterline, I used bhcosmetics Waterpoof Eye Liner crayon in the shade Midnight...

Lips are MUA Matte lipstick in Lilac Belle, and over the top I slicked MNY Color Sensational Color Elixir in Petal Plush. Cheeks are bhcosmetics Lilac Blush Duo...

Can you guess what colours I'll be using next from this gorgeous palette?

Take care of you,
