Gee my blogging has taken a bit of a beating this month - what with work nightmares, storm interruptions and moving house, writing up my precious posts has been pushed way down the list. The new home is also in a bit of a state with boxes everywhere, and furniture still being shifted around daily to find just the right spots. So I'll have to make this quick and then dig through the bags and crates to find something to wear tomorrow!
But there's always time for an EOTD - I found enough of my makeup to put together this look for my return to work, and when in doubt or in need of a boost, I go with the colours of nature, and that of course includes green ♥ My base was essence Longlasting Eye Pencil in I Have A Green, and then I packed on a fair whack of L'Oreal Color Iinfallible Emerald Lame all over the top lid - a beautiful intense olivey green with gold shimmer...
For the crease and underneath I used Sleek Fern from the V2 Matte palette, and my waterline scored essence kajal pencil in the shade Teddy - this is terrific for adding a wee bit more definition and contrast, it goes on nice and evenly, and it's not dark enough to take me into goth-land lol...
The lighting here is also quite different, so I'll be fiddling around with different globes and back lights over the next few days until I can capture the colours correctly again. Hard to believe May is almost here, and with it the last month of Autumn, but that also means another EOTM giveaway very soon ♥
Take care of you,
kats xxx
Lighting is so tricky! It's a constant struggle over here. Your eyes look gorgeous, though, just to get back on topic!
ReplyDeleteIt's sure a critical factor when trying to get colours right hey TP - glad I'm not the only one going through set-up nightmares lol. Thanks for your lovely comment sweetie ♥
DeleteIh gosh I find moving so stressful...you poor thing.
ReplyDeleteAs far as storms are concerned....we are getting the mega rain and wind here in QLD today.
I dont know how you manage to get such wonderful photos of your eyes...I would have trouble even getting a clear photo of my foot...lol
Hey hon, slowly getting things sorted out - set up my makeup last night! Thank goodness, I was starting to freak out ha ha. Will hopefully have the camera "studio" set up by the end of the weekend - quite a few new products to snap and blog about. Hope the weather is a bit kinder to you ♥
DeleteI find moving horrendous! I hope I die where I'm living now, just so I don't have to go through another move!
ReplyDeleteI love the gold shimmer! That teddy could be used in a marsala look, I see pink tones in there. You do manage to get great photos as Fawn said.
Relocating can be quite hellish - the worst part is having to go back and clean the old place when I'd MUCH rather be concentrating on sorting out the new one. C'est la vie! And you're right - Teddy is perfect for marsala themed looks ♥
DeleteOhh moving is such a pain! I hope you get settled quickly :)
ReplyDeleteSo so so beautiful. You've heard me say it a million times but you look stunning in green! xx
Sweetaholic Beauty
It sure is Jasmine - I'll think twice (or more) before going through the ordeal again, that's for sure ha ha! Thanks as always for your wonderful support hon ♥
DeleteHope your all sorted with the packaging boxes soon kats. It's weird but we only have a month left of Autumn and we haven't seen that much of the cooler weather yet up here in Qld. We've had rain and storms but haven't worn a cardy yet. I do have to say though.......Love that green :-) I think it's just perfect but I am biased lol.
ReplyDeleteHi Mandy girl - methinks boxes will be around for a while, takes me forever to find a home for things, but clothing, makeup and jewellery are sorted, as is the bathroom, so I'm in pretty good shape ha ha! My office is a mess but I have room enough to take photos and work the old computer ♥ It's been quite mild here too, expecting a cold snap on Wednesday though - hope the gas heater is delivered tomorrow lol. Thanks for dropping by hon, always love to read you babe ♥
DeleteI hope you settle into your new place quickly and your work nightmares get sorted out! In the meanwhile your EOTD looks stunning as always! I love shimmery green on your eyes!
ReplyDeleteThanks gorgeous gal - starting to see the floor at last (ha ha!) instead of a sea of boxes, but hey it takes a bit of doing to sort through the stuff. Work is tolerable for the time being, but blogging always keeps me sane! ♥♥♥
DeleteThis look is seriously stunning - I have that green essence liner and the shadow I think, so I'm going to give this look a go soon!
ReplyDeleteHi there Emma! Glad you like it and please do let me know how it turns out - just about every one of my looks is an experiment ♡
