EOTDs: Catch up time!...

Didn't get around to uploading any EOTD's last month, but I have a pretty big stash put aside, and in various colours of the rainbow. So without further ado...

Was quite chuffed with how this turned out - I normally apply the lightest shadow shade on the inner corner of my eye, but decided this time to pat down the darker blue (from the Annabelle Haute Mer quad) on both ends, with MBA Cosmetics Silk FX Babybaby in the middle and underneath. I thought it would make my eyes look smaller, but I actually love the extra definition. Waterline was Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil...

For my face I used Mirenesse Liquid Silk Foundation, Ulta3 Pretty Plum Blush, and Face of Australia Lip Quench lipstick in Ruby Delight (added bonus of SPF30)...

My pastel blue jewellery collection is the smallest of the lot, but I'll work on it this Spring lol...

A very special friend sent me a whole stack of her Colourpop eye shadows (eternally grateful hon ) - this is Tink (matte charcoal) & Liberty (the most fabulous metallic silver in my kit!)...

These shadows are amazing - the pigmentation and buttery texture is almost impossible to beat, and they blend with just a few strokes of a fluffy brush. Waterline is Eye of Horus Charcoal Obsidian Goddess Pencil...

Mirenesse Liquid Silk foundation again (trying to actually finish a foundation - who me?), cheeks were Real Purity Frosted Orchid Powder Blush, and lips were Maybelline Matte Lipstick in Lust For Blush...

Dug through my retro jewellery box and was thrilled to find the acrylic "humbug" striped ring, and some earrings and a bracelet that I made over 10 years ago - confirmed my suspicion that I should never throw anything out lol...

For this look I decided to use ONLY Eye of Horus Goddess Pencils - Emerald Tabula & Scarab Sapphire. All these pencils are beautiful on their own, but I usually don't have enough time in the morning to let them set completely, and invariably cover them up with a matching shadow so the cream doesn't transfer to my hoods...

The green is such a good match for my eye colour, and the smudger on the end is excellent for blending before they dry...

Same foundation, cheeks were Laura Geller Blush 'n' Brighten in Berry, and that stunning red lippy is Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in One-Of-A-Kind...

Was lucky enough to find the matching emerald crystal earrings at Lovisa for a ridiculously low price...

And this last look is from way back in June, but too spesh to neglect - Too Faced Chocolate Bar Black Forest Truffle, with a dusting of Champagne Truffle over the top...

Still in awe of how much I'm loving browns and taupes and caramels! All to do with my lighter hair colour I reckon. Eye of Horus Bronze Amulet Goddess Pencil on the waterline...

Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Foundation, Ulta3 Pretty Plum Blush, and Maybelline Colorblur Cream Matte Pencil in Plum Please...

And a massive thank you shout-out to neurotichellfem for the change-it-yourself battery tip. This watch has been languishing in a box for months, but I managed to get it working again for less than $2. I also replaced the batteries in three other watches - hon, you've just saved me a FORTUNE! ♥♥♥

Will post another four looks before the end of the month - and keep an eye out for my September giveaway. It'll be a special one as it's my 3rd year Bloggiversary!

Take care of you,

EOTD'S: Too Faced, Annabelle & Maybelline Blues...

OK, time for some baby BLUES! Bit of a mix of brands that I've been playing with of late - these are all delightfully pigmented, and suitably different. First up is Blueberry Swirl from the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette. What a lovely surprise to find a gorgeous smokey blue in amongst all the chocolatey hues...

My base was Chi Chi Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Boys Boys Boys - applied the Blueberry all over the lid except for the inner corner, and then blended a smidgin of Hydra from the Sleek Hall of Fame palette from the inner corner. Waterline was Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil...

Foundation was Rimmel Lasting Finish, cheeks were Ulta3 Pretty Plum Bluch, lips were BYS Fine Wine...

Form my accessories I chose a mix of powdery light and dark blue - the bracelets and earrings were from Lovisa, and the necklace was a bargain from Millers...

Next is a gorgeous blue from an Annabelle Haute Mer palette that my beautiful friend Amy from Health and Beauty Girl gifted to me  It's a Canadian brand I'm not familiar with at all, but I love the formula and the boldness of the hue - very creamy and very little fallout. There's some stunning greys in the quad as well which you'll see at some stage in the not too distant future...

Base was Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil, and I used the Teal Malachite one on the waterline for some extra oomph...

For my face I tried a new foundation - Australis Stayput. It's excellent, a beaut colour match, max coverage and it sure stays put Cheeks were the third pan from the BYS Heart Skipped A Beat trio, lips were NYC Blossom. This lippie was another pressie from darling Amy - my first ever try of NYC lipsticks, and I'm impressed with the density, intensity and moisturising qualities of the formula...

Kept the jewellery pretty low key as I was wearing such a busy print top...

And this last one is from one of my go-to palettes - the Sapphire Maybelline Hyper Diamonds palette that never lets me down...

Base was Chi Chi Boys Boys Boys Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, and I added that to the waterline as well. Been a while since I used a relatively light colour in this area - not sure that I like it so much, but it does seem to make my skimpy lower lashes stand out a bit more...

Face was Rimmel Lasting Finish again, cheeks were Savvy Satin Magenta Cheek & Lip Colour topped with Hourglass Ambient Mood Exposure, lips were Maybelline Pink So Chic ColorDrama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil...

I normally only wear pastel blue in the warmer weather, but my usual rampant boredom kicked in and I made an exception lol. The blue heart pendant is Russian Blue crystal (laboratory grown)...

Hope you're keeping warm lovelies!

Take care of you,

EOTD: bhcosmetics Take Me To Brazil Blue & Red...

TOTALLY missed the boat this month for EOTD's - didn't even post enough to hold my usual EOTM giveaway! But it'll still happen - I'll make something up  Meanwhile, I'm kick-starting tomorrow's March with this weird and whacky look...

If you scroll down the page, you'll see it was created to go with my T-shirt. Didn't have a suitable orange/red shadow in the kit, and thought I'd get away with using a Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Call Me Crazy (bright orange) along the lashline, with the clearest red from the Take Me To Brazil palette over the top. Turned out a little too reddish for my liking, but as usual, I ran out of time to make any adjustments. On the rest of the lid, my base was Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil, with the deepest blue from the same TMTB palette over the top and along the lower lashline, and the EOH blue pencil on the waterline...

Foundation was Mirenesse Liquid Silk, cheeks were Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in Coral Me In dusted with my BRIGHTEST orange blush - Bonfire from the Sleek Flame Blush by 3 palette. One of the few times I've ever worn it because it's just so amazingly pigmented. Love the hue, and it turns out to be totally wearable so long as you're not too heavy handed with the application. Lips were Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in Sanfran-Disco - I'm quite besotted with these, and will review them soon (with swatches)

And of course, the jewellery...

Hope you have a wonderful start to Autumn, and that your Leap Year day was a special one - next giveaway will be up soon

Take care of you,

EOTD: Kat Von D Orange & Blue...

I've been having a little break from creating eye looks for almost three weeks, in fact tomorrow will be only the second day that I'll be putting on a proper full face of slap since I've been on holidays - unbelievable! Also taking the opportunity to give my lashes a chance to breathe without a five layer coating of waterproof mascara, and they're showing they're gratitude by not falling out quite so frequently But I have a few EOTDs stashed away for a rainy day post, like this one...

Used my favourite pan from the Kat Von D Monarch palette (burnt orange Wrath), and also one I love from the other KVD palette that I've had under wraps (and will review shortly) - Chrysalis. This gorgeous blue is called Entombed. Beats me how they come up with these names, but it's a beauty - deep navy shimmer with tiny bright blue sparkles in it. My base for both was essence white kajal, and my waterline is the fabulous Lazuli Blue Eye of Horus Goddess Pencil, which turned out to be a perfect match

For my face I chose DB Cosmetics Longwear 24 Hour Foundation, Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in Coral Sheen, and I added a little Hourglass Ambient powder in Luminous Bronze Light for a wee bit of a bronze glow. Lips were and old friend, Revlon Bronze Beauty...

Well I don't know quite what's happened to Summer here in Sydney - hopefully she'll come back this weekend so I can peel off my socks and go barefoot again!

Take care of you,

EOTD: Maybelline Hyper Diamonds Blue...

Been too long since I did a soft and sparkly blue look, and when I'm in the mood, there's only one palette I reach for - Maybelline Hyper Diamonds BU-1 (I call it Sapphire). It's been on the market for many years, and still available I believe. I have a heap of turquoise and aqua blue shadows (which I love), but when I have a hankering for a more powdery purpley blue, then this is the one...

Apart from the shimmery white V pan, all the others are chock full of sparkles, which my camera simply can't deal with, but you can see a little bit of the glittery effect in the eye pics. I adore glitter, but it all gets too messy and involved when I have to use glue and wait for it to dry, so this collection is terrific because the sparkles are built-in, and there's actually very little fallout

I used Chi Chi Waterproof Gel Eye Liner in Boys Boys Boys (which is a pale blue) as my base, and then added both blues over the top, with the lightest brightest one in the inner corner. The gorgeous deep blue went along the lower lashline, and for my waterline I used ModelsPrefer matte black kohl...

In the below pic I'm wearing DB Longwear 24 Hour Foundation, DB Lip & Cheek Rouge in the shade Irresistible, bhcosmetics Iris blush, and DB Longwear Lipstick in Shocking Pink...

Hope you survived the sales, and scored some brilliant bargains!

Take care of you,
