SPOTLIGHT: March Empties 2018 + Giveaway!...

Well, I guess no-one can say that I never finish products! Not a bad effort for March and this post is late yet again because of the time it takes to put it all together, but I sure do get a wonderful sense of achievement when I hit "Publish", and my recycle bin gets a good feed haha. Oh and there's a special treat with the giveaway this time around, so off we go lovelies ...

Body

Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover (100ml, RRP $4.99)
This was my polish remover of choice (for my toes), but as of a couple of months ago, I stopped painting my own toenails, and now I have them shellacked at a salon - holey guacemoley, what rock have I been living under?...
Repurchase?
Not anymore, but it was the best and most effective for standard gel nail polish...

Cutex Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover (100ml, RRP $4.99)
So much kinder to my nails than regular remover, but takes a bit more soaking and rubbing...
Repurchase?
Even though I'm now having my toenails painted at a salon, I still need this for removing sticky marks that come off my shoes and dull the shellac, and it doesn't damage the glossy finish, so yes, bought some today in fact ...

Natura Siberica Oblepikha Shower Gel (400ml, RRP $12.99)
I wasn't a fan of this shower gel when it first came out - there was a sharpness to the fragrance that didn't appeal initially, but things change, well...I changed, and now I love it! Being tall and slim it takes up minimal space in my caddy, the turquoise bottle is a standout amongst the others, it contains lots of interesting Siberian herbs, no SLS, and it doesn't dry out my skin. Hoping that one day I'll be able to pronounce it lol...
Repurchase?
Definitely! ...

Nutrimetics Nutri-Rich Shower Oil (200ml, RRP $38)
This creates such a beautiful shower experience, I wish it wasn't so expensive. But just about everything from this brand eventually goes on sale, and surprise surprise, the replacement for this bottle was a freebie with my last order - score! A very interesting product - yes it's an oil, but when mixed with water it foams into a light and creamy cleanser that moisturises the skin without leaving it feeling greasy, or making the shower floor slippery. The apricot fragrance is to die for, and I don't need to apply any body lotions or potions afterwards. Very softening, very hydrating, very nice...
Repurchase?
Undoubtedly ...

Nutrimetics Ultra Care Platinum Hand Therapy (75ml, RRP $42)
Well, it's called Hand Therapy, and that just about sums it up. Superb hand cream with a soft baby powder scent that smooths and hydrates the most withered skin. I didn't notice any reduction in my brown spots, but I'd say a few tubes would be needed for that. Love the glam silver (platinum) packaging. It's as good as the L'Occitane Shea Butter one, and absorbs COMPLETELY!...
Repurchase?
That'll be a yes, as soon as it's on special ...

Original Source Limited Edition Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea Shower Gel (250ml, RRP $3.99)
Fell for the scent of this bargain shower gel quite a while ago, and being a Limited Edition, I stocked up. Crisp and refreshing, this is a beaut all-year-round body wash that lathers well and the delicate fruity-floral fragrance is 100% natural. Contains SLS, but unlike numerous other products with this tricky ingredient, it doesn't dry or irritate my skin ...
Repurchase?
Would if I could but I think it's only available on eBay now - fortunately I still have several bottles stashed away in the cupboard ...

Face

BioEffect Day Serum (5ml sample, 30ml, RRP $195)
Crikey, from memory this sample came in an Adore Beauty order, but I nearly fainted when I looked it up and found out that a 30ml bottle costs $195!!!! It's an interesting formulation - the clear gel is amazingly smooth and a tiny amount spreads in a flash. It feels almost like silicone, but boy does it hydrate! No scent that I can detect and some of the online reviews are from gals that swear by it. Honestly, I didn't notice any change or improvement in the short period of time I was using it, but I may have been a bit more observant and frugal with the dispensing if I'd known how much it costs lol...
Repurchase?
Umm, I doubt it - lovely serum, but for that price, I need it to work an overnight miracle!...

L'Oreal Pure Clay Detoxifying Gel Wash (150ml, RRP $14.95)
Definitely one of my favourite cleansers. My passion for anything clay or charcoal is well documented, and this contains both, so it was bound to be a winner. Love the fresh fragrance, and while it's blackish in the tube, it becomes lighter grey when mixed with water and even foams up. It's one of those rare cleansers that removes every molecule of makeup from my face, and the rinse water doesn't leave a ring around my basin, which makes it a winner...
Repurchase?
I already have several of these stashed away (bought on special!) ...

L'Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal Advanced Regenerating Serum (30ml, RRP $49.95)
Trialled this for beautyheaven in March and gave it 5 stars - my review is towards the bottom of the page HERE. It's even better than the original formula, and I so looked forward to my beauty routines, both for the feel of it on my skin, and the revitalising lemony scent. Perfect overnight serum hydration-wise, and a beaut base for makeup too as it absorbs very quickly, and the pearly liquid contains tiny gold particles that give a slightly shimmery radiance to the complexion...
Repurchase?
No less than 6 serums on my bench, but as soon as they reduce to 3, I'll definitely be picking up another of these gems ...

Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub (125ml, RRP $12.95)
My rave review of this is HERE...
Repurchase?
You betcha! ...

Face Masks

BLAQ Charcoal Hydrogel Eye Mask (pack of 5, RRP $29.99)
My latest under-eye-depuffing love (pictured below underneath the brown face mask) - these are slippery little suckers, so you can't really walk around with them on as gravity and the slightest movement makes them slide down, but they work a treat AND they contain charcoal. They work out to be $6 a pop, but who cares. LOVE!...
Repurchase?
Affirmative ♥♥...

Purederm Black Food Recipe MG:Gel Mask (RRP $3)
Exceptionally hydrating, and even (temporarily) firmed my jawline. Contains 17 black foods - whoa! - including black rice, black bean and blackcurrant. The blurb says that if you store it in the fridge, even more moisture will be released when you slap it on, so for me that little extra tip is a hot weather only one. Anyways for $3 from Kmart, it's a bargain and well worth trying to find it in amongst the gazillion masks they have for sale these days...
Repurchase?
Sure will - I have at least 30 sheet masks in stock to use up (gaahhhhh!), but I'll definitely be buying this one again ...

South Mane Lip Gel (Pack of 3, RRP US$9)
Also pictured above partially covered by the face mask, this pack of 3 came in a Lip Monthly box. They're huge and cover the entire lip area and surrounds, but are also very slippery so you need to lie down and not move your mouth at all. Nicely softening, but very little moisturising beyond the 10 minutes of wear...
Repurchase?
They seem to be only available from the US website, so I'll stick with the LonVitalite ones...

Skin Republic Bubble Purifying + Charcoal Face Mask (RRP $7.99)
Already raved about this one numerous times ...
Repurchase?
Absolutely! ...

Fragrance

Lanvin Eclat d’Arpège EDP (100ml, $140)
Just can't live without this beautiful fragrance in Spring & Summer - been buying it for years, and always ALWAYS receive compliments. Covered it succinctly in a previous empties post in 2016 (HERE) and nothing has changed - this stunner will forever be part of my life. BTW it is regularly on special at various outlets/websites, and I've never paid more than $65 for it...
Repurchase?
I make sure I have a spare even before I open a new bottle ...

Glasshouse Fragrances Beverly Hills Pink Lemonade Reed Diffuser (250ml, $42.95)
A full review of this beautiful baby HERE - it's so summery and fresh and fun! ...
Repurchase?
Affirmative, but not till next warm season ...

Hair

Schwarzkopf Live Colour Silver Toner (RRP $5.49)
I think this may work best if you have bleached blonde hair - it toned down the yellow in mine, but overall my colour was too dark for this to have anything other than a neutralising effect. Leaves the hair nicely conditioned and glossy though...
Repurchase?
No - the one below is what works for me...

Schwarzkopf Live Colour Pastels Cool Grey (RRP $5.49)
Now, this is the go - it actually adds colour, a lovely soft grey (not purplish or bluish). It may sound odd that I wanted to put grey in my hair, but it's true - my ultimate goal is ash blonde with silver streaks. I've decided to go with the flow a bit more, and change my colour to something that blends a whole lot better with my white roots, which are killers to cover up every 2 weeks. This cheap-as-chips semi-permanent has already helped get me closer to where I want my tresses to be without any more damage, and I will continue to use it every month or so (in addition to the Schwarzkopf Colour Specialist) to keep the yellows at bay...
Repurchase?
It was recently on special at one of the supermarkets, so I bought 8 (yes 8!) boxes ...

Makeup

Maybelline COLORdrama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil - In With Coral (RRP $9.95)
The perfect coral colour for my skin tone and I also use it as a liner for some of my other lipsticks - lovingly reviewed the range HERE...
Repurchase?
Can't live without it ...

SPOTLIGHT: January 2018 Empties + Giveaway!...

Gee willikers - another mammoth month of mainly wonder-products. Quite a wide variety, and of course some faves to giveaway to one of my precious followers, so let's get started!

    Body

Beechworth Honey Bush Honey & Macadamia Gentle Scrub (100ml, RRP $12)
Reviewed HERE, I adore this scrub but can't find anywhere that sells it except their website...
    Repurchase?
I caved and just placed an order, as well as a selection of their other scrumptious products ...

Dove Nourishing Care & Oil BodyWash (375ml, RRP $7.36)
Enjoyed this very much, so softening and hydrating, lovely fresh fragrance...
    Repurchase?
Probably not - actually I can't see this on their Aus website, only the UK one, but anyway I'm phasing out body washes that contain SLS (which sadly this does)  'cos it's starting to irritate the skin on my arms...

Glasshouse Beverly Hills Pink Lemonade Hand Wash (500ml, RRP $24.95)
Rave review HERE, one of my favourite scents for Summer, so fresh and crisp! ...
    Repurchase?
Probably - again it's another product that contains SLS. I haven't had any problem with my hands, so I'm prepared to make an exception ...

Grahams Natural Vanilla Organic Lip Balm (4.25g, RRP $7.95)
Love all their products, and their lip balm is exceptional - jam-packed with organic goodness, minus the yucky stuff, and 100% edible...
    Repurchase?
Not this flavour - my heart belongs to their Raspberry one, which I've already re-ordered ...

Harvest Garden Lavender & Patchouli with Zeolite Clay Soap (130g, RRP $7.50)
Still my favourite soap of all time, already covered in my October Empties post last year...
    Repurchase?
    Forever ...

Natural Secrets Goatsmilk Moisturising Handwash (300ml, RRP $5.99)
Discovered this brand just over 12 months ago, and I'm totally sold on their products. Full review HERE ...
    Repurchase?
Affirmative - there's always a bottle on my vanity ...

White Glow Activated Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste (150g, RRP $5.99)
This was in the Liptember Beauty Box - glad to have the opportunity to try it as I'm still searching for a charcoal toothpaste that I like, but this is not it. Quite effective in the whitening department, but the taste is awful - reminds me of Quick Eze antacid tablets...
    Repurchase?
    Nooooooo...

    Face

Antipodes Worship Skin Defence Antioxidant Serum (10ml sample, RRP $5)
Couldn't believe my luck when I found a whole shelf of these 10ml bottles for $5 each at my local chemist, all with a use-by date of 2020! Considering 30ml is $53.99, I bought several to try, but it's not really my thing. I was wanting hydration, but it doesn't moisturise very much at all - instead, it's an anti-oxidant treatment to counteract free-radical damage. Love everything else I've tried from Antipodes, but don't find I have a need for this beauty...
    Repurchase?
I can't go past Hosanna (the love of my life), so no...

Grahams Natural Anti-Aging Hydrating Night Cream (50ml, RRP $19.95)
Full review is HERE - at the time I guessed it would last me 6 months, and that's about right too. Sure I've been sampling a couple of others along the way, but still, it's endured incredibly well as such a small amount is required. I know I'm repeating myself but I so love this brand - zero glamour or frills, but also no stuff to irritate the skin, nor does it clog my pores...
    Repurchase?
Absolutely, but not for a while as I have at least 5 other creams to use up first ...

Nivea Skin Firming & Smoothing Concentrated Serum (75ml, RRP $18.46)
I heard about this via a YouTube video by AnneMarie (HERE) plus there was a pic on Instagram (HERE) - it's the Holy Grail for shrinking under-eye bags and firming jowls. Not available for sale in Australia, I bought several bottles from iHerb - it's regularly out of stock (no wonder!), but well worth waiting for. It contains a high concentration of L-Carnitine which is a fat dissolver, plus Q10 for firming, and it works. My eye bags have reduced by half since I started using it 7 months ago, and it's also helping to firm my jawline and double-chin - been holding off revealing it as I was hoping my bags would go away completely, but they haven't. But I'm thrilled with the results so far and will keep using it in the hope that over time they'll shrink even more. Mind you my bags were MASSIVE and I've had them for 30 years, so if yours are relatively small, this is the bomb because it's permanent and it's so unbelievably cheap! ...
    Repurchase?
Without a doubt - I have a bottle on my makeup bench for night-time application, and one on the vanity for my neck, chin and jawline in the morning ...

Nutrimetics Ultra Care Platinum Tight Firm & Fill Face Serum (30ml, RRP $102)
Another one of the treasures in the beautyheaven 10th Birthday goodie bag. It's a magnificent serum, loved everything about it, and I'm seriously considering buying it although the price tag is somewhat offputting. Haven't done my bh review of it yet, but it does have a plumping effect, and the hydration level of my skin improved dramatically, as did the surface texture. Had a major problem with the pump though, which initially drove me bonkers - the second time I used it the cap that you push down to dispense the product kept getting stuck, so much so that I had to bang it against something hard to get it to come up again. That was until I figured out I could remove the inner plastic tube from the casing, and then it worked brilliantly. That little annoyance aside, it's a very very special product ...
    Repurchase?
Certainly thinking about it - I went through it in about 3 weeks though, which makes it a budgeting nightmare ...

    Face Masks

Garnier SkinActive Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask (RRP $4.95)

Crikey the cloth mask industry is exploding hey - just about every brand is adding them to their range now, which I'm thrilled about as they are an essential part of my skincare regime, and I love having lots to choose from. This one is a beauty - fits so well, actually I'd go so far as to say it's the best fit of all I've tried. My only beef is that the nose piece isn't long enough (nb: I hadn't ever considered that my nose might be longer than normal lol). It's refreshing and cooling, and there's a noticeable tightening sensation - loved it! ...
    Repurchase?
Yes indeedy - there's also one with Black Tea which I've purchased but not as yet tried ...

Purederm Botanical Choice Ginkgo Eye Puffiness Minimising Patches (2 pairs, RRP $3)
Confirming these are even more effective at reducing under-eye puffiness than the Skin Republic ones - LOVE! ...
    Repurchase?
    The best $3 I've ever spent - can't live without 'em ...

Sephora Shea lip Mask (RRP $4)
Even more softening and soothing than the Rose one I raved about in the November Empties post ...
    Repurchase?
Yes! It's currently out of stock, so I'm waitlisted ...

P.S. The charcoal nose pore strip in the pic is by Skin Republic - I'll review it when I've finished the 6-pack...

SK-II Facial Treatment Mask (RRP $28)

This came in Marie Claire Ageless Parcel just over 2 years ago (2 years!) and I was saving it for a special occasion but figured it might have a use-by date. Wow, I get why it's $28 a pop - 2 pieces that fit well, heaps of serum, cooling, firming and hydration levels I've only ever dreamed about ...
    Repurchase?
I've written to Santa asking for the 6 pack ($140) ...

    Hair

Scott Cornwall Decolour Hair Colour Stripper (RRP $24.95)
My first foray into true ash-toned home hair colouring over the Christmas hols was a catastrophe - my hair turned out black as coal! Not entirely sure why as the dye pack said Dark Ash Blonde, possibly a chemical reaction, but anyway I had to get rid of it because I can assure you, black-as-the-bottom-of-a-coal-mine-during-an-eclipse does NOT suit me. So I researched online and this Scott Cornwall product is what I came up with. Works BRILLIANTLY and doesn't damage the hair. But you must follow the instructions to the letter...
    Repurchase?
I bought another one for the cupboard in case I have another disaster ...

Schwarzkopf Live Salon Permanent Hair Colour - Medium Ash Blonde (RRP $13.99)

My second foray into ash home hair colouring was a success thanks to this product. The result was way darker than I had planned, but that's possibly because of having to strip out the aforementioned first attempt. Fabulous colour, very low ammonia, 100% coverage. Wish they made a Light Ash Blonde in this range ...
    Repurchase?
Might try mixing it with the pearl blonde shade, although I've kinda fallen in love with their incredibly gentle Colour Specialist range, which I've recently trialled for beautyheaven - will do a post on that shortly ...

    Home

Purewick (Aldi) Touch Pear & Vanilla Fragrance Diffuser (145ml, RRP $10 I think)
Bought this months ago which is why I can't remember the exact price, but I don't believe it was more than $10. Subtle but lovely fragrance, lasted well considering I put it in front of the open window, but that was the best way to release the scent into the room. About to finish up the Mango & Coconut one as well.  For the price, they are fantastic! ...
    Repurchase?
The usual Aldi problem - if they come back, I sure will ...

    Makeup

Beauty by Nicholas Foundation No More - Medium (30ml, RRP $39.99)
Review of this fabulous cream is HERE - still loving it to bits! ...
    Repurchase?
    Already have ...

Eye of Horus Precision Sharpener (RRP $10)
The best sharpener ever - doesn't damage any pencils I sharpen, whether it be eyeliners or lipliners ...
    Repurchase?
I have 3 spares, only because the plastic casing of this one split, but it was over 2 years old ...

Maybelline Brow Satin - Dark Blonde (RRP $16.95)
My go-to brow product - still suits me now that I've shifted my hair colour to ash, it's the perfect neutral and natural-looking brow power for fair-haired babes ...
    Repurchase?
I have at least 3 in my drawer ...

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner - Peachy Beachy (0.25g, RRP $12.50)
Great colour, this is quite firm and dryish, but it lasts really well on the lips, and being the propelling variety, it never needs sharpening ...
    Repurchase?
Gotta - it goes so well with most of my coral/peach lippies ...

    GIVEAWAY!

I've picked some faves from this month to giveaway to one of you lovelies ...

    • 1 x 10ml Antipodes Worship Skin Defence Anti-Oxidant Serum
    • 1 x 100ml Beechworth Honey Bush Honey & Macadamia Hand Cream
    • 1 x Harvest Garden Rose + Geranium + Patchouli + Lavender Natural Handcrafted Soap

      SPOTLIGHT: April Empties!...

Absolute bumper crop of empties for last month - even impressed myself lol, although it's taken FOREVER to put this post together. Finished up some long termers (and I mean LONG), and of course I'm totally enraptured with cloth masks at the mo'  Actually I don't think there's a single item here that I didn't love to bits, so here we go!...

Mirenesse Power Lift Dermal Firming Face Mask (2 sheets, RRP $25, VIP $17.50)
Mini review back in January HERE - still of the same opinion that it's a beauty, and there's the added bonus that there's no mess as the gel is only on one side of the mask ...
      Repurchase?
Yes, but I have some of their Ice Crystal Cryotheraphy ones to use first ...

7th Heaven Very Berry Mud Masque (15g, $3.99)
This was part of my Secret Santa gift from the lovely Katelan from Katelan Maria. It's fabulous! Super cleansing and soothing, and bursting with Blueberries, Cranberries, Peach Kernel Oil & Aloe. Smells fantasticly fruity and left my skin feeling (and looking) like new. It's messy, but what mud mask isn't hey? I've just seen that Priceline has this range on a 3-for-2 special at the mo' ,..
      Repurchase?
Definitely, actually I'm mad keen now to try all the other ones they make ...

Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick - Make A Mauve (6.8g, RRP $15.95)
It's taken just over 2 years to get to the bottom of this magical stick of creamy soft blush - I know because I scrolled way down in my Instagram page to find when I bought it (108 weeks ago to be exact). My favourite of the colour range, this is the perfect mauvey pink for my complexion. Love everything about this blush, from the formula to the packaging, to the price ...
      Repurchase?
I panicked about 3 months ago when I was getting close to the stump, and bought another one ...

Urban Rituelle Ginger Apple Lip Balm (20gm, RRP $13.95)
Have had this on my bedside table for years, and was wondering if I'd ever hit pan - brilliant balm, brilliant value, cute-as container. They don't make this particular flavour any more, but there's seven to choose from HERE ....
      Repurchase?
It's discontinued, but I still have half a pot of the Passionfruit one, and recently bought the Lemongrass, Lemon Myrtle, Grapefruit & Eucalyptus to try - I want to experience every single one! These are organic, and the ultra-enriching beeswax, shea butter & Vitamin E formula is the same in all varieties ...
      Wotnot Facial Wipes Normal/Sensitive (25 wipes, $8.99)
Unlike many folks, I've never gotten into this brand of wipes - I usually only use the Neutrogena ones for cleaning my brushes, but after sampling these from the March Good Green Box, I'm a convert. Very kind to my skin, and they'll sure come in handy for those cold wintery late nights when I just can't bear to get my face wet ...
      Repurchase?
      Affirmative ...

Rimmel Stay Matte  Long Lasting Pressed Powder (14g, RRP $12.95)
An absolute essential for counteracting shine and for touchups throughout the day (included in my April post HERE), I always buy the transparent variety. I have one on my bench, one in my makeup purse, and...
      Repurchase?
...a spare in my drawer ...

Skin Republic CoQ10 + Caviar Face Mask Sheet (25ml, RRP $7.99)
Nutty about everything this brand produces, and treat myself to one of their masks every Sunday - this is another that's fabulously hydrating, oodles of serum to replenish the skin's moisture, and it totally doused any redness in my complexion ...
      Repurchase?
Already have my next one stashed away ...

Bioré Steam Activated Cleanser (145ml, RRP $10)
Thoroughly enjoyed this cleanser, although I didn't ever use it in the shower to take advantage of the steam activation. Still it worked a treat, non-drying, oil-free, non-comedogenic and I loved the fragrance ...
      Repurchase?
Have had this for a while, and I can't see it on their website any more so it may have been discontinued. But all is not lost as their charcoal range is awesome..

Earth Mumma Pit Paste (30g, RRP $12.95)
This surprised the hell out of me with its effectiveness - came in the March Good Green Box (review HERE), and unlike any of the other aluminium-free deodorants I've tried, this one actually works, although I'd like to try it out on a hot humid January day to really put it to the test ......

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Moisturising Lather Shampoo (250ml, RRP $32.95)
Recommended to me after my first keratin treatment for maintenance, I've been alternating this shampoo with my Swedish Reference staple. Lathers like there's no tomorrow, leaves my hair silky soft, and it's kind to colour treated tresses. Love it ...

This was my second bottle, and I've since purchased some Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo for comparison, but I would buy it again in a flash ...
Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Cream Rinse (250ml, RRP $34.95)
Another post-keratin recommendation. Haven't used anything as softening as this before - I mean the way it makes my hair feel like strands of silk is ridiculous ...

Also bottle #2, and if the Kerasilk conditioner doesn't blow my skirt up, then I will DEFINITELY be buying this again ...

Johnson's Nutrient Burst Brightening Body Wash (384ml, RRP $6.99)
Lovely non-drying shower gel, and I'm addicted to the pomegranate & raspberry scent. Contains Vitamin A, B5, C & E. Due to crazy workload and subsequent blogging time constraints, I haven't as yet done an individual review ...

Lancôme Teint Visionnaire Skin Perfecting Foundation (30ml/2.8g, RRP $75)
First discovered this back in 2013 (review HERE), and for many years it was my HG foundation. It still is one of my favourites, but the price is a wee bit prohibitive, and I've found some others that work just as well for a fraction of the outlay (example HERE). The beauty of this is that it includes a matching concealer in the detachable lid ...

Skin Republic Spots & Blemish Anti-Spot & Pore Refining Mask (25ml, RRP $7.99)
Well fortunately I don't have any spots or blemishes, but I sure do need major pore refining. This mask contains Witch Hazel for tightening pores as well as Tea Tree & Salicylic Acid. Could see a very slight refinement in my skin texture, so I'll be trying more of these to see if there's a noticeable improvement with repeated use. The trouble is everything in this range is so good, I can't decide which ones to use on a regular basis - what a dilemma! ...

      Lanolips 101 Ointment - Strawberry (10g, RRP $14.95)
From a DJ's sample tote, this tube of skin restoring balm saved my nose and lips during my recent virus. Just about every time I have a cold, my nose and lips get so chafed and raw from tissue burn, and I invariably end up with a cold sore from the irritation. But thanks to this delightfully fragranced and healing ointment, I escaped that fate ...

Skin Republic Hyaluronic Acid + Collagen Face Mask Sheet (3ml/25ml, RRP $9.99)
A most interesting concept - the top section of the sachet contains a fruit enzyme microdermabrasion & peel serum that you massage in and leave on for a minute, then rinse off. Only the slightest hint of tingling, and then the sheet mask went on, followed by a tad more tingling. All these masks are amazingly hydrating and nourishing, and this double-step one is even more so. My face felt smooth as, and even looked a teeny bit firmer ...

For Beloved One Mandelic Acid Advanced Renewal Serum (15ml, RRP ?)
This was gifted in the goodie bag from the Bloggers United AU event last November - from what I can gather, it's a Korean beauty favourite. An alpha hydroxy acid, I loved the feel of it, and how refreshed it made my skin look. No noticeable lightening of my pigmentation issues, but experience has taught me that this process takes time ...
