LOTD: Peach...

Peach is such a fabulous hue, and especially flattering for us older gals - it's warm and soft and feminine, and with enough colour to give any face a flirty lift without being too flamboyant. I wear pinks so often, and this a welcome change - goes with just about anything too :-)

Well now fancy finding a lip liner in this the perfect base shade - couldn't believe my luck when I spotted this Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay on Lip Contouring Pencil in Tiramisu. This one will be getting quite a workout - it's creamy, a wee bit soft on the really hot days, but the pigmentation is amazing, and covers all my annoying lip freckles...

Sob, I'm almost about to hit pan on this lipstick (what do you call it when you reach the bottom of a lippy?). This is Revlon Creme Super Lustrous Lipstick in 628, Peach Me. I'm devastated because they don't seem to make this shade any more, and it's just so darn pretty! I've had this for years, and yet it still delivers oodles of moisture and lasting pigment...

To finish it off and add an extra boost of the glossies I added Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine in shade #46 - this one is about to run out too. Actually these are the only glosses I ever use up completely - I just loves them, they always reward me with a mirror shine, and give my lips a wee bit of a plump-up...

I'm peachy keen about peach lip products - are you? Do you have a favourite peach lipstick?

Take care of  you,
kats xxx

  1. Gorgeous lips sweety!
I adore peach shades on my lips because they are kind of close to my natural lip shade :D
The combo you've used here of the three different products works so well together and I love the added gloss at the end.
My fave peach lipstick is the Revlon Lip Butter in peach parfait. It's peachy with a slight gold glitter to it too. I really like it :)

  2. You have very luscious lips lovely! (I love my alliteration!)

Ah I hate it when my favourite products are discontinued, and then begins the search for the 'one'. Hehe, I hope you find a colour you love just as much as the gorgeous Peach Me :)

(a quick Google search tells me it's still available on the Australian Target website: http://shop.target.com.au/p/revlon-super-lustrous-lipstick-peach-me/52432477)
as well as on the Priceline site: http://www.priceline.com.au/index.php/cosmetics/lips/lipstick/super-lustrous-lipstick-4.2-g4

    (I hope they're right)

My favourite peach lippy is Bourjois' Color Boost Lip Crayon in 'Peach on the Beach' (cute name!) though it's more of a bright coral - peaches tend to be too light for me so I like my pinks and reds.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend, have a beautiful week!

  4. I do love the colour "Peach" but with my skin tone, it's far too pale on me. It looks lovely on you *Kat* !!!

My skin tone has a tinge of "yellow" in it rather than "pink". That's why I can't wear pale frosted coloured lipstick. It has to be "deeper" or the lipstick "vanishes" on me.

The "rose pink to plum" colours suit me best for my lips to "stand" out.

    1. Thanks darling - you're so lucky to have found the right shade for you though hon, it can be quite a battle to pin down what looks great with your particular colouring, actually some gals never find it...

  5. You should also check ebay. I have found lots of discontinued items on there, and they are actually real not fakes!
