EOTD: Lime Green...

Here's a bright summery lime green look to kick off 2014. I don't wear this yellowy version of green very often, but whenever I do, I wonder why I don't wear this yellowy version of green very often ha ha - it really is so vibrant and cheerful :-)

I laid down a base of green Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Liner - this is super pigmented, very creamy and doesn't budge. I also applied it to the waterline, where it tends to sheer out and wear off by lunchtime, but I think it gives a pretty softness to the whole look.

Over the top of the base went Sugarpill Acidberry - this is a lighter version of the same gel shade, and gives it a bit more pizzaz. Along the top lashline I added a fine strip of golden white from the MUA Blue Babe trio to provide more contrast for my lashes, and patted a bit extra on the inner corner. And to finish off, I blended a little bit of both shadows with a damp brush over the top of MNY Master Precise Liquid Liner on the lower lashline.

I tend to wear this shade more in Autumn & Winter, but it definitely has merits as a warm weather hue. What's your favourite colour to wear in Summer?

Take care of you,
kats xxx

  1. Very pretty Kat! :D
This yellowy version of green suits you very well. It compliments your nature eye colour nicely.
I'd actually love to give a shade like this a try myself.
I've been sticking to nudes and natural shades this summer, which is so different from my usual lilac-purple shades. I go through stages I think lol

    1. I certainly have fave shades and combos that I always fall back on when I need a sure bet, and I def go through periods where I use the same liner every single day, until I remember I have 20 others that need using up lol... xxx

  2. ooooooooh green. Looks perfect on you kats...very pretty. I can actually visualise you wearing this during the cooler months all wrapped up in boots and coats.

Summer here in Brisbane is hard to wear eye-shadows but if we do go out, I tend to wear browns, lilacs and yes some greens :-)

    1. Hey babe, such a nice thing to say thanks AG - I can assure you neutrals are pretty sickly on me which is why I so rarely wear them...

  4. I love this look, it's so fresh and pretty! You never hold back and I'm glad you're bold, it's truly endearing :) x

I'm still sticking with the neutrals because I'm more of a lip lady and let them do the talking. HEY I just realised something amazing about you - your hair covers your eyebrows (which I read are super important in framing your face) so your eyes really are the focal - standout feature of your face and that's inspiring!
My brows are sparse and so a wonderful bold eye look would really distract from other imperfections wow Kats you're revolutionary!!

Keep the inspiration coming! My interest in your gorgeous EOTD has hiked, I was honestly never that into eye shadow until you came along (I watched on bh sometimes as well)...now I play with colour at night for fun :)

    1. You have such a wonderful way with words missus - thank you for making my day, my week! Ah yes, my eyebrows - there's a few reasons why I cover them. Basically they're blonde and almost non-existent, so I draw them on every morning, but they don't look all that crash hot in closeups. Also the gap between my eyes and my brows is quite wide, and without my fringe filling in the space, in these sorts of eye-shots I look like an alien lol. And finally, my fringe covers some rather deep frown lines between my brows (I don't believe in botox). So now you know all my secrets, but I much prefer your reasoning hon :-)

Gosh it's such a thrill to know that my fun is turning into your fun ♥
