REVIEW: Chi Chi Sugar & Spice EDP...

"Sugar and spice and all things nice, that's what little girls are made of". No idea if they still teach Nursery Rhymes in schools, but my memory of this little ditty is crystal clear. And I think this ever so pretty fragrance from Chi Chi is equally unforgettable. If you like the Marshmallow one, or you find it's musk-stick quality a little to much like the real lolly, I can just about guarantee you'll fall in love with Sugar & Spice...

I'd classify this fantabulously feminine blend of vanilla, citrus, oriental floral (?) and spices as Marshamallow's older sister - same family, a little more grown up, with the beginnings of an air sophistry, but hasn't lost her innocence yet. It's just gorgeous!

Sweet and sassy without being too candy-ish, the citrus content gives some tangy support - can't exactly pinpoint which fruity scent it is, but I'll take a stab at it and say lemon. Add whatever the "warm spices" are (cinnamon?), they're delicious and add a hint of mystery. But I can't even begin to guess what the oriental foral is - who cares hey? What I do know is that my nose just adores the formula - an absolute girly delight

I can still smell a faint trace after seven hours - one of the longest lasting of all the fragrances in this set of purse sprays (well on me anyway). Sillage is good - not quite as environmentally-invading as the Marshmallow, but I'm glad as I really want to keep this for myself lol. Will DEFINITELY be buying a 50ml bottle of this little darling

Take care of you,
kats xxx

    1. Indie my precious, if you get a chance to try a tester, I think you'd be smitten too - it's just so darn pretty, similar to Marshmallow, but not nearly so lolly-like ♥ And bless you for your words hon - it's always a challenge for me to express what something smells like, but it's fun too, and I'm so happy to know that you, also a magical perfume reviewer, enjoys my prattlings xxx

  4. I tried a tester of this the other day & it IS like Marshmallow's older sister. I found it long lasting too (compared to how fleeting some of the others are). I think I'll be buying this too.
