EOTM: "Your favourite October EOTD" Giveaway!

Just for fun I thought I'd have a special "mini" giveaway each month - only a baby one, but a regular one, and all you have to do is choose which of the previous month's kats colourings eye looks you like the most, and why. Easy peasy!

I'll number all the EOTD's and post the pics, along with details of the prize. If I can figure out how to get the Rafflecopter widget to work down the track, then well and good, otherwise it will just be the comments/how-you're-following-me deets kind of entry.

So to kick things off, the prize for this first mini monthly giveaway is the new Makeup Academy Ever After Matte Palette! I actually bought this for myself, but I can tell at a glance that the shades aren't the best for my colouring (they're a bit different in reality to how they appear on the MUA website, but the below pic is far more accurate), so I figured why not give it away to a good home? I'm a HUGE fan of just about all MUA shadows, but their mattes are particularly smooth, well pigmented, and unlike some other brands, totally matte :-)

All the October EOTD's are pictured below and numbered 1 to 8.

  1. This one is easy for me to decide - it's Number 1 - chosen partly because it's a gorgeous green and partly because it was done so beautifully and lovingly as a wedding sentiment for a special person. It's been simply wonderful to be involved, from the sidelines, in this wedding along with you Kats and your tribute is full of meaning and emotion. The pleasure you give, both with your gorgeous looks and your beautiful sentiments is priceless.
    With love,
    Trish.

  2. Kats, Number 7 this time round. I love the strong cobalt blue which is different from other blues you have used. As cobalt blue is one of the hot colours this season in clothing and accessories (have been coveting several cobalt blue bags from Michael Kors), this is something special and gives me the confidence to use this colour as an accessory (given that I am unlikely to get the Michael Kors bag)!

    1. Uh oh, I'm in trouble Roxy, just checked out the MK bags - big trouble! I'm kidding of course, but is it ok to buy a bag to match my eye shadow? Thanks heaps for the info hon, gee I hope one finds it's way into your cupboard, they are divine :-)

  3. Kat, you have made this decision extremely hard, hun. But, as I love coral and it's ability to remind me of the coveted warm weather, I have to choose number 4.

    1. Nice choice scent - the bright sunny colours always cheer me up, and this coral makes me think of summer and the beach - so looking forward to the next season :-)

  4. It took me absolutely forever to choose but I will go with the electric look number 2!! It's got a touch of spunky and fun rolled in whilst maintaining softness - complementing the eyes perfectly.

I love your work so much, I'm a huge lover of colour too, I just show it on my lips as my eyeshadow applying skills are abysmal haha! It's amazing how you work it, colourful eyes are just so hard to pull off, especially pink but what you've created here is perfection :)

Eye am really enjoying these looks, your reviews and generally glad you decided to start up a blog!!

    1. Wow themissus, I'm so touched by your delightful comment - thanks heaps, and I'm so happy you've joined in the fun :-) If you'd seen how woeful my early attempts were (and I mean they were really bad lol), I'm certain your confidence in your skills would soar way up into the stratoshphere! I bet you're heaps better at it than you think, we're always our own worst critics :-)

  5. Tough decision but I pick number 5...it was the one I noticed first because its such a gorgeous, vibrant blue which is perfect for spring. Its also an accurate representation of your personality too - bright, bold and warm all at the same time :) and I love that hint of purple too, one of my fave colours!!

  6. Can I only choose one Kats? They are all stunning creations, but if you are making me choose one I would have to pick number 6. My birthday is in February and amethyst is my birthstone and to top it off, purple is my favourite color! I am following you via Bloglovin, I think my user name is ClaireF (Claire.floyd@hotmail.com)

    1. Sweet Claire, you know I always wanted amethyst as my birthstone - such a beautiful gem. I actually wear purple eye shadow at least once a week, and can't believe I've only posted one purple EOTD! Must rectify that glaring omission pronto ha ha :-)
