EOTD: L'Oreal All Night Blue & Sassy Marshmallow...

Was inspired to put together these two blues by L'Oreal - both of them were gifts from the endless giver of pretty things, my darling friend Hissycat Krissy  The All Night Blue arrived in the post almost three years ago, and the Sassy Marshmallow one just a few months back. Despite being separated at birth, I reckon they were destined to pair up eventually...

The All Night Blue is magnificently deep and mysterious, but I pressed it down over essence white kajal to lighten and brighten it's intensity, and then blended the Marshmallow from the inner corner to open up my eyes, and give my lashes something to contrast against. As a rule, I wouldn't normally buy an eyeshadow as pale as this, but thankfully Cat is a far wiser woman than me  Waterline is Chi Chi Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Dream Lover...

Foundation is (once again) Mirenesse Airbrush Mineral Soft Focus Emulsion Pact, cheeks are Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in Make a Mauve plus essence Pinky Flow Blush Up, and lips are MBA Cosmetics Cranberry lipstick with Mirenesse Tease 3D Forever Gloss topping to soften things down...

I'm aware that some gals avoid blue eyeshadow like the plague, I think mainly due to it's overuse during 70's - I sure did, for decades, but I adore it now, and especially at this time of year, with Spring looming on the horizon

What about you - how do you feel about blue eye makeup?

Take care of you,

  1. They really were made to go together. Blending is flawless & this look really pops. It's a very "denim" look. That Chi Chi liner is brilliant. Weren't you going to review these? Did I miss it?

    1. No you didn't miss the Chi Chi liner review hon - I didn't get there, didn't take enough photos when they were fresh, and now some of them are stumps :-( The worst thing is that they don't sell them any more, and I loathe reviewing things (and raving about them) if they aren't available. I was kinda hoping they'd re-release them - I'd buy another box for sure, they're great - some of them crumble when you sharpen them, but for staying power on the waterline, they really can't be beat ♥

    1. Sweet Indie, thanks babe - I do look a bit extra-glowy in this pic, and I probably should have lightened it a little, but that's the way it turned out on the day lol ♥♥♥

    1. Thanks sweets - these shadows are SO good, they blend SO well, and even though they're years old, they're still creamy and with barely any fallout. L'Oreal did good ♥♥♥

    1. What a treasure you are hon - I'm in the midst of savouring all your comments, and feeling the love ♥ If it's any consolation I now have 5 unopened palettes that I just keep looking at every week. I took the seal off one of them, and I'm close to giving it a go, but I'm trying to be a good blogger and not use it till I've taken all the glossy photos ha ha - what a problem to have hey xxx
