Bless you hon - Bright and Bold is SO incredibly dear to my heart, but it's also something I do almost every day, so I had to stir up a few hitherto inactive brain neurones to come up with something a bit different to my usual, and here's the result...
So Bright & Bold it is, but with a wee bit of softness too :-) Here's what I used - the shadows are all from the bhcosmetics Take Me To Brazil palette, all mattes, because using this much colour in one look can be somewhat overwhelming with a shimmery or sparkly finish...
Old faithful essence white kajal was my base in order to bring out the intensity of the hues. After laying down the orange, yellow & green in reasonably equal segments, I placed a dollop of the Dark Fuchsia Nabi lip liner in the centre of each colour, and pressed the hot pink from the same palette over the top to set it...
To stop the whole thing looking too clownish, I gently blended all the colours into each other, and then lined the crease with the aqua shade for some added definition...
On the waterline went Green PF Shimmer Strips Gel Liner...
As always when doing a multi-coloured creation, it's a challenge to get both eyes to match, so don't look too closely at the both eyes pics lol...
I had so much fun putting this look together - thanks Hailes for coming up with this brilliant theme! Gemma & Indie will be posting their creations any day now, and as always, would so love it if some more of you lovelies were to join in ♥
Take care of you,
kats xxx
Oh yeah!! Fabulous Kats, simply fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI adore all the colours you have chosen and the work really well together. I love the peacock green shade, it's gorgeous.
Jeez I dunno how I'm going to top yours and Haileys looks. I love them both to bits.
Well done Kats ♥♥
Aww darlin' thanks heaps! So glad you like it babe. Actually I just corrected the picture of what I used - I'd marked the red when in fact I used the orange, all good now :-) I'm in no doubt of the delight you'll come up with hon - we are all such individuals, whatever you create will be a wonderful expression of your interpretation hon ♥
DeleteBright and Bold is so "you", Kat, yet you've managed to come up with something different, so that this look really does stand out to match this theme. Beautifully applied, hun xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much beloved Indie - yup, couldn't believe my luck when Hailey chose this theme, right up my alley hey?
DeleteI knew you'd be perfect for this theme! I love what you did and think it's clever that you opted for mattes over shimmers, it gives the look a softness that is hard to achieve when using such bright colours. So good Kat!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Hailey, you know me well hon, thanks again for choosing such a brilliant theme :-) Yes the mattes were kinda essential for this look, even though they tend to accentuate my crepey old eye lids, but I reckon it would have been too much if I'd used pearls or shimmery shadows...
DeleteLove this! The colors are so bright and fun, but you did such an amazing job at blending them together!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I nominated you for the Liebster Award! Check it out on my blog!

DeleteWhat a true artist you are with a true 'eye' for colour :)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of you to say Fawn - colour is one of my greatest pleasures in life, and I can't help but play with it incessantly xxx
DeleteGreat look, Kat !!! Another one of my favourites for being multicoloured :).
ReplyDeleteThis article has been so useful to me because you've given me another use for my Essence white kajal pencil.
I have attempted and posted my first FOTD on my new but amateur Blog under the section of "Makeup". You can view it at

and let me know what you think. My Hubby has now given viewers the ability to make comments (as you kindly suggested) :).
